Well I am beginning to see that both candidates suck.On another note, why do writers have to use inflammatory statements like, "Obama's thugs"? Yep I am sure Obama has all these thugs running around with him, riiight. I guess normal people, you know ignorant and stupid people need to have it always be about us vs. them. I spoke with a manufacturing client yesterday. His budget for capitol projects got cut last week from 100M to 30M. That is 70M not going to be spent in 09 on manufacturing. Less equipment sales, construction installs and product being moved. That is just one smallish company. Do the math across the country. I have said before and gotten killed for it but people are going to suffer for this election. It is already happening and it is going to get worse. I wrote a letter to my employees in this weeks pay checks. They are getting a 1 percent raise for the fall (lowest fall raise in 15 years) and to be prepared for layoffs. My company has averaged 10.8 percent growth for the last 16 years. We had had layoffs 3 times in that period. Our backlog of work has dropped dramatically in the last 4 weeks. I have spoken to several associates in various industries and the same seems to be said for them. Bottom line is that the middle class and the poor are going to get hurt badly here. Most of the guys that will be facing a layoff are on the lower end of wage scale. I hate to do it but we have been through this before. I will take a 10 percent or maybe 20 percent pay cut and other then the fact that I will not invest as much nothing in my life is going to change…but to the people who work for a living they are going to pay the price. I realize that many of you think I am an *******…and I really don’t care but my employees are people. They are my biggest resource and are treated VERY well. The performance incentives we give out here exceed every one of my competitors. I pay them more so I can do less. We don’t squeeze them financially for fun…and they are going to start being squeezed. We all have one week to decide. It is our choice.

Well, I'm sure they cut those fanufacturing projects and raises because they know Obama's going to be President and therefore the economy's going to fail. Just like the main reason that the stocks are down is because investors know Obama's going to win, eh Copernicus.

He hasn't done anything yet...but he will. So far the only killing business is the credit crunch and the stock market dump which was caused by Democrats. Combine that with BO leading the election (notice i left out the H) and his promise to screw free enterprise and attempt to turn us into a socialist state. Business has just started to slowdown and will get worse. Remember the 70M cut from the budget in 09 i referenced. I would have gotten maybe 3 to 5M in work from that. Enought to keep maybe 12 to 18 men working for the better part of the year....gone!! Due to the credit markets and the unstableness we have right now.

The fact is LMD we're looking at a choice between big government and bigger government. Also a choice between economic downturn and civil liberties being steadily corroded at a faster pace than they already are. So guess what it really means is do you want the government to be intruding in the boardroom or the bedroom. Both are not good options in my opinion. Actually if you want to get right down to it, living where I do, the economy's ups and downs don't really affect Montana because we're basically already at or near the bottom of the economic ladder anyway. So the credit / financial problems we have today are going to lead to us to Nazi Germany? I hate to tell you but that would not be a Republican issue. I am all for smaller government, less regulation and less goverment power. If Washington would stick national defense and infrastucture and those type issues that would be good by me. If locals and staes would stick to schools and regional needs that would be good by me. To go where you are going would require massive amounts of goverment power, controls on most everything and near total control over markets...wait...damn that sounds much like BHO....Huston we have a problem.
