Another Great Joe Biden Interview

Recommended Posts

Ill trade you a local TV anchor in central Florida for:BrokawGibsonWilliamsSchiferCouricDeal?
I thought your point was that it's great that she's willing to ask those kinds of questions? She's not a reporter, she's a republican mouthpiece. Had she asked similar questions of McCain, you'd have an argument. But she didn't.

About time someone asked hard questions.. ALL POLITCIANS should get asked these questions...[
I never said there shouldnt be tought questions for McCain/PalinListen if Barbara West is a mouthpiece for the GOP... Then by your analogy - all of the anchors I listed are mouthpieces for the DNC

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/...t.interview.cnnSit through to the part where they show a clip from her McCain interview (and watch with amusement as McCain becomes confused and annoyed). It's amazing that anyone can claim, with a straight face, that a reporter asking a tough question is out of line. *EVERY* question to politicians should be that hard.

Geez...don't confuse us with facts. You mess with Obama's campaign and you will be a target!

Please forward this to the McCain/Palin campaign so I can stop hearing about the unfairness of "gotcha" questions.

If Obama and Biden were asked equally difficult 'gotcha' questions, I would. The fact that someone asking Biden a hard question is news says a lot about the coverage. One time, Biden gets asked a non-scripted question, and there's an uproar. Palin has had to put up with that since Day 1. And Biden is an idiot, she's not.

It's okay, the dems are now going to tear down the character of the interviewer, things will be abck to normal in no time

McCain loses. You can't win via the issues, so you're crying media bias? Fox news has been pushing Ayers, ACORN, Wright associations etc. into the ground. Rush Limbaugh is the most unrepentant smear merchant in the country. Michael Savage is an outright racist. By his own logic (of labeling people by associations), Sean Hannity is an anti-Semite because of his ties to Hal Turner and Andy Martin*. While intelligent media folk may do a better job of covering up small biases, the neocons are downright terrible at it.*And while I did get info on Savage and Limbaugh off of mediamatters, I actually stomach O'Reilly and Hannity every now and again.

given your "Facist" post, I would have thought it right up your alley. There are far more similarities between Obamas policies and Marxism then there are between the US overall and facism, once you carve out the similarities between all nations.
When did I make a post for or against Fascism??? Ahhhhh...Oh ok, I remember, the article about US becoming a Fascist state. That was just a question. I am learning a lot from these discussions. I like to listen to both sides, and see what makes sense. I don't like the loss of our civil liberties, whatever you call THAT (Fascism or not), I am 100% AGAINST it. I am in support of small government and the constitution. I am in support of policies based on the best our scholars have come up with as most effective. Not stuff that happens to impress the clueless whims of the ignorant masses. Peace.

Please Palin hasn't been let anywhere near tough questions ever since the whole "Bush Doctrine" interview, wasn't that her first unscripted interview? claiming BHO's policies are anywhere close to Marxism is so far it makes me want to shoot you all

What other policies would he have to state to make you believe his is a Marxist? He has belonged to a socialist organization that proudly touted him when he was first elected to Congress. He has stated that we need to "spread the wealth." His wife, recognizing that spreading the wealth is unpopular, is now saying that we need to take some "pie" from some to give to others. Joe Biden says we need to raise taxes because it's patriotic.Would he have to read from The Communist Manifesto on TV before you'd believe it?

This is like me saying McCain's immigration and war policies make him a fascist, its complete fabrication and doesn't make any sense. Your looking at a group he used to belong to and his use of an idiom and not looking at his policies. A tax break for middle class will not turn America into a communist state just like Obama's dad being Muslim doesn't mean America will be over run with terrorists, it's bull.First he was a terrorist next he's a communist and you know what? next week he's gonna be the president of the united states so it doesn't matter what theories you have fabricated in your deluded mind that you decide to present as fact to the rest of us.

Is Obama a socialist? YES!! Of course he is. This is extraordinarily obvious, right? He supports socialist programs, ie programs that are funded by the wealthy (though taxes) and give a proportion of benefits that is not in proportion to how it is funded. This is wealth redistribution. It it taking money from certain people and giving it through government programs and benefits to others. If you call that socialism, then certainly Obama is a socialist.Other socialists, by the way, would include every president we've had in the 20th century and 99% of all other politicians. So, unless you're the purest of pure libertarians (and I don't even think HBlask is) or you're a complete anarchist, then your philosophy has a hint of socialism in it. So can we please get over yelling "Socialism" at the top of our lungs? It's not about a label, it's about degree. Saying, "He is a socialist" is a vacuous statement made by those who only mean to say, "He is more liberal than I."

I agree that the terrorist and Muslim claims will be meaningless when he is president. But his Marxist tendencies could turn the current economic hiccup into a 10 year depression. The only hope is that he surrounds himself with economists who actually understand how the economy works and prevent him from implementing his plans. After all, Bill Clinton campaigned like a bit of a Marxist, but governed better than either Bush I or Bush II (not that the latter is difficult).

Fair enough. How about this: Obama is the most socialist politician that has been elected to Congress. His voting record is left of the only member of Congress who will admit to being a socialist, Bernie Sanders. So if you want to talk degrees of socialism:Marx, Stalin, Hitler, Mao: 10Obama: 5.2Bernie Sanders: 5Average of Congress: 4McCain: 4.3Average non-politician American: 3.5Me: 0.1

See this is a post i can respect your actually presenting opinions and theories based on facts instead of outrageous unfounded claims. Congratulations your one step ahead of most the people on this forum as well as the nearly every aspect of the current media (republican and deomcratic).

first I would dispute that Reagan could be classfied as a socialist. Second, its being "yelled" because it is a matter of degree. If you dont think that Obama's goal is to look like Sweden, and if you dont think that Sweden is "socialist" compared to the US, then their is nothing to talk about, other than what youre smoking.
