I didn't know this, so I did some research. She appeared on Oprah to discuss her "Biggest Mistake", where she discussed her 2 year porn career. She then went on to explain that she wished she had stayed in school while she was acting on Family Matters, because then she would have had some options once she got written off the show, and could have become an acting coach, or a doctor. Yeah. I'm going to go ahead and guess neither was a realistic ambition.
I feel kinda bad for her after checking out her wikipedia entry. It said that the courts decided to give all her earnings from her child acting to her family to bail them out of bankruptcy. She had half a million in a trust fund and the state gave it to her parents. I think that is really unfair, she earned that money so she should have kept it. Fuck her parents, they should earn their own damn money.

So I saw the first episode of this show, and Busey was golden, as I'd hoped. My opinion of Drew hasn't changed in the slightest. This show is a freak show, and he is the barker. I can see how some drew appologists could saw " well, if an addict watches the show, and sees how f'd up that drummer from GNR is, it might be the catalyst for them to get help." To them, I say, the only thing Busey is a catalyst for is huge, uncontrollable belly laughter from me. The man is seriously mentally ill, and they are purely exploiting it. It's good televison, but poor medicine.

Not to bring down this thread but you do know Myra died from cancer right? She passed away shortly after the show was stopped.
Yes I knew that... I imbd'd her after I made my post about her because I wanted to see those knockers, then on there it said she was dead. I'm sure you did the same thing, unless you are an expert on Myra from Family Matters lol.HollywoodAFD look for it on VH1 they re-run it with all their other reality shows.

I swear to christ, you could have an online Webcam that showed 24 hours of busey, and I would pay up to 50 bucks a month to subscribe to it.

The only guy that even can compare to Busey is Ted Nugent. That reality show was awesome. Also the Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston reality show was just as amazing.

I did actually know that before this post. I remember seeing something with Malcom Jamal Warner and he had talked about it.

That has to be terribly unfair to the other patients though. Here they are going through detox and stuff only to have to be annoyed to death by him lol

Don't forget the Godmother of celebrity reality show train wrecks... Anna Nicole..

Oh absolutely. More reason I don't respect Drew as a doctor. If he only cared about helping people, there's no way GB would be on this show.

Everytime he talks I just keep hoping that he'll snap out of it and start to act exactly like he acts in Point Break. I guess cocaine is a hell of a drug.

Actually he's brain damaged. Literally. He had a motorcycle accident that fractured his skull like 13 years ago, and hasn't been the same since.

Well, in true internet loser fashion, I registered my displeasure with Drew's ethics on the VH1 Celebrity rehab message board. I started a thread called "Dr Drew is a post modern side show barker" and here's the OP. My only hope is that he reads it, and has, for a few moments, a pang of guilt, before jumping into his swimming pool filled with gold coins.

So, a few months back, Dr Drew got in the news, for speculating on Tom Cruise's mental health, and childhood development. There was a message board thread about this on The Adam Carolla Show Message board. That show has many love line, and Dr. Drew fans, and I at the time suggested that Drew wasn't the father figure/messiah that people on the board thought he was, that he was more motivated by greed and money than anything else, and that he basically got rich by exploiting and mocking the mentally ill, the addicted, many of whom were children. This of course didn't go over too well with a bunch of love line fans, who's formative years had been so impacted by the show and drew. Their passion for Drew, their insistence that he was a good man who was just trying to help, made me soften my stance. Maybe he wasn't such a hack. Maybe he really was a selfless guy. Maybe loveline actually helped a lot of people and wasn't exploitative. And then, celebrity rehab came out. And I have only two words for anyone who tries to defend Dr Drew, and say what a good and selfless man he is: Gary Busey. The fact that Gary Busey is on this show, just shows what an exploitative hack Drew truly is. Busey doesn't need rehab, he doesn't need drug treatment. The man is literally brain damaged, he's literally insane. He was in a motorcycle accident a few years back, that his skull was fractured in, and ever since has been profoundly mentally ill. The man is so insane, he thinks that he's a member of the staff of the rehab clinic. He's a literal schizophrenic. Season two of Celebrity Rehab is completely and utterly exploiting his mental illness. It is putting him on TV for ratings, so America can laugh at what a loon he is. I also predict, if his interaction with Tawny is any indication, that he proves to be a disruptive, creepy and invasive. I'm sure, no doubt, that boundary issues are going to be a huge concern with him and the other patients. In short, havng Busey on the show will not be conducive to a healthy recovery environment. The only, the absolutely only reason you have him in this clinic is purely as a ratings grab, because his insanity will make for good TV. And that's the rub here. Dr Drew is a good entertainer. The format of Loveline makes compelling radio. The format of Celebrity rehab makes for entertaining television. But though he is a good entertainer, he is, at the very least, an unethical doctor. He is taking people, who are sick and mentally ill, and whom are despirate to get better, filming their personal, private and humiliatingly lowest points of their lives, paying them nothing for it, and profiting greatly from it. Yes, they are getting "high quality addiction treatment" for free, but believe me, their illnesses are providing VH1 and Drew with many times the cost of rehab in revenue for the show, revenue that they will see none of. The only reason the people are subjecting themselves to this humiliation, is they are so very desperate and ill. And, to top it all off, they have to live with a lunatic like Busey, who thinks he's there to help them. This show is a dressed up, self righteous version of bum fights. If Drew had once ounce of professional ethics, he should be ashamed of himself. But I'm sure he's just laughing all the way to his Beverly hills mansion. Never forget, this show is, at it's core, a freak show, and Dr Drew is the barker.

Also, on the Celebrity Rehab 2's website, they list Rodney King's occupation as " Historical Figure" LMAO I wonder how long that brainstorming session took to come up with some sort of title for him
They could have gone with mason.

I think it got deleted.

But normal on camera? That's not possible... is it?
