Pusillanimous Display Of Racism

If you think its +EV for Obama to be president isn't that what the whole decision is about? Why would you criticize Obama supporters as stupid and then conclude that its better if Obama wins?
what he's saying, in a less than ideal tone, is that an obama presidency during troubled economic times would convince the public that socialistic policies wouldn't work since they would equate the failed economy with obama's presidency. sort of the ole "let him stick his finger in the light socket, he'll learn" attitude.

Hey that's fine, good to know; then you are choosing not to have a discussion, are just here to troll and I don't need to spend any time seriously responding to you any further. I figured as much, but it was worth giving you a chance. :club: If you think its +EV for Obama to be president isn't that what the whole decision is about? It is perfectly reasonable to observe that a decision made out of stupidity can nevertheless result in a positive outcome that was unforseen. Unforseen by the stupid Obama supporters that is. Easily forseeable by anyone with half a brain like me (rim shot). They think they are getting "transformational change" and "new programs" and "free health care" and "new beginnings" and whatever other bullcrap. Actually, I can't even give Obama supporters that much credit. The vast majority are idiot non-savants who are basically fanboys and fangirls who are voting for him because, well just because. They never read the platform, don't plan to read the platform, and probably don't know what a platform is. A good percentage are envious mediocrities who simply hate anybody above them on the socio-economic continuum and simply want to cut them down to size. Their size. Very small. YAY! The "little guy" gets to win. Damn the rich and powerful, now it's our little turn. Police power of the state! Now we can tax those horrible damn rich people who make their money on the backs of the migrant Mexican illegals and ship jobs out to Mesopotamia because the little guy is protected by the "closed shop" union and demands $30/hr to twirl nuts on bolts because his family needs a "living wage". THIS is what we've become. THIS is what we stand for. THIS is what we are voting for. A bunch of patronizing Populist promises that will never be kept. Countries like France and Italy and Canada and Spain have become pleasant but irrelevant places to live under the advent of a permanent socialistic malaise. We were always so much better than this. Not anymore. Soon we will become nothing more than a very big Canada or France.Disgracia!

What's that about no racism in this presidential race? The scariest part is that he probably didn't even realise it was rascist.
It's pretty funny to us Americans, and anyone paying attention to the drivel you post, that you're just so painfully ignorant on nearly everything you open your e-mouth about. For instance, this post of yours. You're trying to insult the poster you quoted, but what you're trying to point out as 'rascist' was in fact done entirely on purpose. You see how stupid you appear when you try to keep up with us?

Seems like you've said you don't like Obama's economic policy, but you do want the social liberalism effects of his presidency like Supreme Court appointments. Do you think someone is "stupid" to vote for Obama for those reasons? Or are we all obliged to vote solely based on economic policy?

If someone is smart enough to vote for Obama with the full realization that his policies are complete crap, but that he is betting on the positive outcome I have outlined, well, then, who am I to condemn a gambler? For those few (0.00005%), I will issue an exemption. The other 99.995% remain stupid.

My point is that most of us here disagree with the candidates on some things and agree with them on other things. Voting for a candidate doesn't mean you agree with every single policy they put forth; it's often a weighing of what's important to you. For example, I tend to agree with republicans when it comes to economic policy -- but that isn't my highest value. We spend a lot of time arguing over minute tax increases versus cuts ($500 per family big deal!), but the world economy is such a huge dynamical system that I don't think it makes too much of a difference in the long run. And contrary to what appears to be the dominant public view right now, I don't see the purpose of humanity as to produce the most effective economy possible. I think it's more important to choose a leader based on raw intelligence and awareness than based on economic policy. Listen, we don't need an election to convince us that most people are stupid. 20% of Americans believe the sun revolves around the earth. But there are enough people on this board that are not stupid that it makes sense for us to give a little benefit of the doubt here.

You cannot move "beyond" reality. When a man violates all prior loyalties and chooses a candidate whose entire platform is based on the mediocre principles of Socialism which don't work, have never worked, and will never work, one must question why. The answer in this case is painfully obvious. When a man chooses a candidate whose policies seek to destroy individualism and achievement and excellence, one must question why.If it isn't race, then Powell is just plain effing stupid.
Just so you know dear, in one of those political tests that were posted here I was 1 point to the left of Colin Powell. Now either that makes me much more conservative than you believe or it makes Colin Powell much more liberal than you believe. I'd tend to believe that we're pretty much middle of the roaders. But I hate what Bush has done to our nation in the name of National Security among other things. And I don't see McCain doing much different in that regard. And Palin is just a joke. I don't know Colin Powell's reasoning but it could well be the result of seeing not only the result of Bush's policies but also being sacrificed by Bush and the Republican Party for the error and failure of those policies. I don't think I'd be very warm and fuzzy about the party that fired me and then made me one of the scapegoats of the failed strategy of the Iraq war.

Had Powell said; 'I have decided to support Obama' that would be one thing. Something tht would hurt our side and leave him unimpeachable from ridicule. But to accuse McCain of being too narrow...which is like WHAT THE HECK could any republican in the world view John McCain as one of the narrow viewed people in our party? Then attack the supreme court picks of Bush and say we can't afford more like that?Powell isn't a middle of the road republican, he's a far left democrat.Of course I have always known he was mostly worthless because a friend of mine that used to be a valet at a hotel served him a couple times and he treated everyone on the staff pretty bad, a sure fire trait of a democrat politician

So you're not voting FOR anything. That's a relief. I guess. I'd hate to think you read the Obama platfrom and were voting for it. Having said that, NO TERRORIST ATTACKS on our soil since 9/11. NOBODY would have predicted on 9/12/2001 that we'd be sitting here on 10/22/2008 saying THAT.Thank you, Mr Bush.

"pusillanimous" - Quite an impressive word for such an ignorant, small-minded unoriginal comment. Noble pundits such as Rush Limbaugh and Bill Cunningham beat you to the point, friend. How about putting down the thesaurus and ceasing the hate-mongering. It's idiot comments like this that are/will prevent any potential surge for McCain in the closing days. As a North Carolinian, I've been BOMBARDED with smear-pamphlets from the GOP and several PAC's regarding Ayers, Marxism, etc. Enough is enough. Run a better candidate in four years.

I mean, I am vehemently, extraordinarily against the use of smilies, but jesus, :club:

This site is devoted to the historical relationship between the Bible and astronomy. It assumes that whenever the two are at variance, it is always astronomy—that is, our "reading" of the "Book of Nature," not our reading of the Holy Bible—that is wrong. History bears consistent witness to the truth of that stance.

such a stupid argument. No one would have predicted any terrorist attacks on our soil on 1/19/2000.

That's shocking!I wonder what the percentage of people is that believe the truth, ie both the Sun and Earth rotate about a common center of mass. Must be like -20%.

You cant think that this is a logical equivalent to his statement. Our college entrance standards cant be that low.
Come on, neretva's statement is obviously fallacious. There have been what, two foreign terrorist attacks on US soil in our history? So those who were in office during all those years of no attacks were responsible for preventing terrorism?
