McCain was the right man for the job in 2000. He was the right man to be in office for 9/11. Had we had a McCain at the helm, Bin Laden would've been strung up by his balls by March 2001 and there wouldn't have been any Iraq. I truly believe that. In the year 2008, McCain isn't the right candidate.

Its this simple, throw out all the economic and social issues, we will be a safer nation with McCain as president, and I don't even think that is debatable.
Not buying this. I think McCain is more knowledgeable as a whole, but that does not guarantee he will make the right decisions. Plus, Obama ensures Europe's full cooperation because their populace spends most of its time dangling from Obama's scrotum.

Well I don't think either are the right candidate, but we don't have that choice anymore.

European nations are going to work with us regardless. Most of that nuthugging is from the citizens. And that knowledge is huge.

10 point must scoring on the politics of it, not the substance since obv McCain would crush on that from my povQuestion 1: (plans for the economy) McCain specific Obama rhetoric 10-9 McCainQuestion 2: (Treasury Secy.) Nobody is naming anybody tonight, although the suggestion of Buffet is awful and McCain should hammer it. 10-10Question 3: (bailout) McCain on the attack, tells the truth. Obama strong Parry and not many will know that he didnt really respond 10-10Question 4: (how much worse before it gets better) Neither one can say anything new on this 10-10Question 5: (how can we trust either of you) Obama lies that his plan is net spending cuts, but comes across as strong. McCain responds on pork, overhead projector satellite for Chicago planetarium scores. 10-9 McCain for the soundbyteQuestion 6: (priorities) McCain all 3 at once. Confusing on 700 billion wealth transfer vs the bailout. Obama. Gives priorites...wrong imo, but a strong response. Obama 10-9Question 7: (spending) McCain backs track to priorities, very strong Obama all over the place from 9/11 to conservation. Worst response so far and says nothing tangible McCain 10-8Question 8: (drunk on debt and credit) Obama back tracks to taxes. McCain responds strongly...Hoover was the last to raise taxes in bad times. Obamas taxes bad for small business and therefore employees. Obama promises to suspend spending and tax increases if times are bad...and they are bad. Another score for McCain. Watch Obama try and raise the level of rhetoric. 10-9 McCainQuestion 9: (SS Medicare) Brokaw doesnt give Obama free time to respond. Obama repeats the 95% lie, lies about small businesses that will be impacted. Stumbling on his words. McCain says he'll answer the question that Obama didnt, then he doesnt answer it. Since few know Obama is lying, he wins this one 10-9Question 10: (environmental issues and jobs) McCain separates himself from Bush. All of the above approach, millions of jobs blah blah blah. Bad response. Obama goes on attack, McCain makes a lot of notes but wont have a chance to go back to them. Brokaw massive fail on control lights. 10-9 Obama, least bad of the two.Question 11: (health care as a commodity) Obama doesnt answer the question directly. Prevention, IT, etc. McCain doesnt answer either, but does explain how 5000 plus after tax employer funding buys plenty of insurance. Obama will fine those who dont buy coverage. Obama... HI is a right, plays the mother pre existing condition card. Strong socialist response that will appeal. Obama 10-9. Brokaw loses total control and shows bias imo.Question 12: (economics vs worlds policeman) McCain sings god bless America (no, not literally if you didnt watch). Doesnt answer the economic issue. Obama wrong on Georgia and Iraq. Not ready to lead. Obama misdirects on Iraq vs Afganistan. Lies about quick and easy and "liberators" (toppling SH was and we were greeted as liberators until the looting started) Obama answers the economic question by using Iraq money. Obama on point, 10-9, even if his solution is wrongheadedQuestion 13: (military for humanitarian purposes) Obama intervene when possible but not everywhere all the time. McCain..timetable for withdrawal a mistake, otherwise same as Obama 10-10Question 14: (Pakistani sovereignty...yeah she made up that question) Obama willing to act unilaterally. Killing Obama biggest national security priority????? WTF?? McCain critical of announcing that you would do what Obama says. Relationships are critical. Obama a newb. Brokaw backs off on followups. Obama lies that he didnt say he would invade Pakistan, then says it again. Obamas response strong otherwise. McCain responds in kind on "bomb bomb bomb Iran", and repeats Obamas mistake. McCain 10-9.Question 15: (update on Afghanistan) Obama back on Iraq withdrawal. Lots of rhetoric about being responsive to needs of Afghan people. McCain brings up Petraeus and talked to him. Obama wrong on surge, secure and hold works. McCain 10-9 for dropping Petraeus name.Question 16: (apply pressure to Russia to be a responsbile citizen) lol at the question. Russia wont recover from the economic crisis soon enough for the next Pres to care much about them. McCain...NATO, G8 have to bring pressure, not just us unilaterally. Does anybody know what Obama said? Both fail 10-10.Question 17: (evil empire) Obama..they engage in evil behavior and have nationalist leanings. McCain ...Maybe! 10-10Question 18: (commit troops to defend Israel) If they dont both answer a clear yes theres a loser. McCain clear yes, stop Iran from acquiring nukes, negotiation without preconditions. Obama same, direct talks with the enemy. If the order had been reversed McCain would win with a harder slam on preconditions. no loser 10-10Question 19: (what dont you know) what a waste of time. Obama looks to Michelle. Sings god bless Americas opportunity. Otherwise doesnt answer the question. Change blah blah blah. McCain..cant predict the future, served the country blah blah blah. no winning answer to a stupid question. 10-10Massive failure on Obamas part to link McCain to Bush. McCain massive failure to attack strongly.to the scoreboard: McCain 185 Obama 183. Too close to help McCain.

What is it going to take for McCain to win this election now?I can think of a few scenarios:1) McCain foils a terrorist attack masterminded by William Ayers.2) Barack Obama is photographed wearing a doo-rag and smoking pcp.3) The Obama campaign grows overconfident and tells Joe Biden to go out there and talk from the hip.4) Jesus comes down to Earth and threatens us with damnation if we don't vote for Palin

I've never been more impressed with Obama as I was tonight. What I saw tonight, unlike the last debate or the Biden/Palin debate was an absolute crushing in Obama's favor. I honestly think he destroyed him across the board. On every question I felt that Obama was strong. Just my opinion of course, I'm sure others may think that McCain won and they have that right. As for me, I was very proud of Obama tonight and think this was a solid step towards nailing down the presidency. Very happy with what I heard and saw...
