OrzyVibe 0
A poker buddy and I are staying at Bally's (centrally located), but I'll end up playing mostly at Caesar's...at least that's my current plan. Anywhere I go I want to be in decent walking distance. I'm bringing $1,000 to gamble with and playing NLHE cash and tourneys. So here's my question: Should I just stick to Caesar's cash games and tourneys? Or should I venture to other neighboring poker rooms? And how should I split up the poker money? I'm trying to maximize my time as I can basically play poker 24/7 without worrying about the wife, friends that don't play poker, etc. Its a pure poker trip.Thoughts would be appreciated. bigbrennan 0
Sam (makeyourself) and I will be out there from 20th October for some amount of time, although it is my first trip I've hear the MGM and Bellagio are good rooms. Shame you can't stay over on the Sunday as there is a 500$ WPT closing event at the Bellagio.

mhoward29 0
The Venitian has the best daily tournies as far as structure IMO. Also the cash games are pretty good. I also stayed at Bally's last time, so cheap to be in the middle of the strip. For $10 more you can upgrade to a room facing the Bellagio fountains if the rooms are available. My room there was huge and had a 42" flat screen on the wall.My last trip report, to give you some idea on the daily tournies... trip report

I'd do it..............convincing the wife to abandon family and a 20 year old successful business is another story.Nice that it's so close, no reason to move really. This trip is for her birthday.....I'll be playing at the Venetian mostly, check out the WPT ME, Noodle bar, Firefly, etc.

Suited_Up 2
I think with $1000 to play with, you should play somewhere besides Caesars. That's a 1/3 game with $500 buyin. Obv you can buyin for less, but you might end up in a game playing bigger.I would go to Venetian, Flamingo, IP or PH.IMO.

Loismustdie 0
Also, make sure you hit up either IP or Bills and try and run into the first protoge winner, Brian. He's a good dude, and he is dealing at both casinos.

ajs510 122
On a $1k bankroll, stick to the NL games at MGM and the Mirage imo. Both rooms play pretty soft.

StickyBun 0
I guess I don't understand how $1,000 for 2+ days is underfunded? Not everyone goes to Vegas to play higher stakes or limits. And why would playing say $1/$2 cash at Caesar's be worse than playing $1/$2 at MGM? And why couldn't a guy play in a few $120 tourneys and still play cash games and be okay? And as far as the comment of 'going to play low limits in Vegas is a waste'....why? To some of you guys who play bigger, sure. I get it. But not everyone is trying to become a pro or make a living at it. Some just like the competition and enjoyment of playing live, but still want to win. For some guys, its just a hobby. To say its a waste is goofy, IMO. To each their own, man.

Bellagio doesn't spread a $1/2 game, their lowest NL is $2/5. The Wynn doesn't spread $1/2, they have $1/3 $300 max (same at Treasure Island). I've never played Caesars, but all $1/2 games in Vegas are not created equal, you'll need to play them to find that out. Comparing the game at MGM to the game at Harrah's or Binion's is like comparing apples to tuna fish, they play completely different.
