gatortom64 1
"Negreanu's a Superstar"Shakerchi raised under the gun, Justin Smith called to his immediate left, and Negreanu came along for the ride from the big blind as well. They all checked the 2 6 4 flop, and were thus necessarily dealt a turn; it was the 4 . Negreanu now bet out 40,000, and Shakerchi made the call. Smith got out of the way and thereafter appeared to be taking a nap with his head down on the table. The river came down the A and Negreanu now checked. Shakerchi checked too, and Negreanu flipped A T ; Shakerchi mucked. "Lucky," noted Negreanu. Said Matusow, the coffee apparently beginning to seep through his blood and into his brain, "Negreanu's a superstar -- bets every street, makes the nuts on the river then CHECK..." Said Negreanu, "Bet every street? Do you ever pay attention to anything?" The good-natured exchange continued, but a gap appeared in the Wall Of Media at this point, so I took my chance and escaped. flyingdonkey 0
Awww manPredrawJust a couple of interesting tidbits which happened in that hurricane of action before the redraw:The {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} of Stanislav Alekhin hit the perfect flop, giving him a set against the {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} overpair of Daniel Negreanu. It all got in on the {8-Spades} {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds} flop, with the ensuing {10-Hearts} {6-Clubs} doubling the up-til-now quiet Alekhin to 460,000+ and dropping Negreanu to a level not seen since yesterday (full counts coming in the break).Over on the feature table, Brandon Adams was simultaneously doubling up Ivan Demidov, who spiked an Ace to crack his {K-?} {K-?} . Naked_Cowboy 0
even with the bad beat, he's still 5th in chips. as far as table draws, his table has 60.2% of the remaining chips to the other tables' 39.8%. On the bright side, he has position on boosted and juanda is a full 3 to his left. his table being very deep will probably put him in better situations, but it probably has the better players.ship it to the kid imo.
