What Actually Happened On Thursday

I don't take anything Rush says any more seriously than I take what Keith Oberman says or Bill O'Reilly or Chris Matthews. If I can't find backup for what they say in a more legitimate news source I throw it out. Something you should consider also LMD & Cope.

i guarantee i research things far more thoroughly than you do. And there are several links in the article that you might want to follow.

No surprise here. I will assume you decided to skip the reading and continue wallowing in stupidity. No offense.

This is the sick part- none of this is being reported by CNN,MSNBC,ABC, even FOX. None of it. If I hadn't been to Rush's site I would have the impression that McCain arrived and made it worse, when the truth is he didn't really say much, he just listnened. I guess on some level I realize that this is just pointless on my part, many on this site who need to see this probably wont even bother. I think it's shameful how much research I put in on both sides to come to decisions and we have people that post on here using media coined terms like McSame and shit like that. The lack of depth on the left is pathetic at best, and borderline criminal.
I must have missed the research on the left side. After reading the post, I am convinced that Rush is long winded even in print. From reading the stuff out there, the House Repubs were the ones that weren't willing to go along with the deal. The Dems need the Repubs for cover since Main Street is not exactly cheering for the bailout. Both sides were playing Chicken while Paulson and co. were starting at a possibility of a Monday Market Meltdown if nothing happened over the weekend. Both Obama and McCain were playing political football with the bailout obviously as neither could risk the other gaining an advantage over this issue.

To a certain extent. The Dems also need to force the Republicans hand because even though the public doesn't agree they believe something needs to be done, because they are being told that. Now, interestingly enough 2 weeks ago Paulson 800 million in Goldman Sachs turned into about 600, within a day he had this rescue plan out there. Connected? You decide. The Republicans have a plan right now that instead uses private capital- this isn't good enough for the Dems. Why is that? Because this may be the biggest move towards socialism ever. If you can do it for the housing market why not healthcare? So, Obama arrives, everybody defers to him and he just blasts the Rebublican plan, even with the affidavit from 160 or so economists saying the Dem way was not the way to go. But, the Republicans also realize they cannot stop the Dem plan even if they wanted to. Intense political posturing at a time where it should just be,"Look-what is best for the taxpayer?" That being said, why wuld we expect anything less with a 9% approval rating?

I can't believe that is somewhere in the USA in 2008.
I laughed. That's probably a larger portion of the voting population than we know. "His middle name is Hussein", nope, I will vote for the white guy. Much as I hate that idea I can't say I really care. I would rather beat him for his positions but if you factor in the ones voting against McCain because he is old it may be close to even. Who knows? I had sex on an ATC once. I remember thinking I should be getting paid for it, the scenery, the circumstance was so classic porno.
