FCP Bob 1,321
Bah, I'm wasting too much time on this. Based on a quick Youtube search, here is a good example of Penner using his speed to carry the puck up the ice, making a nice pass, then using his speed + size/strength to get open in front of the net for a tap-in. Based on that clip I think Dale will nickname him snowshoes.

coesillian 0
It is a moot discussion to suggest trading Price for anything that doesn't bring a starting goalie back in exchange. He's the only viable goalie in the organization now that Halak is gone. That trade makes no sense at all from Montreal's perspective.
serge 904
That was fun..I have spent a lot of time focusing on the Habs and the Pens..But i forgot how much fun it is too trash the crappy Sens..Fun victory ..Kovalev who has only 3 fighting majors in 17 years fought and lost to Beauchemin.Hopefully when we are better this year this rivalry will get more intense..I am still hoping for a Montreal/Toronto playoff series(which has yet to happen since realignment) and Toronto/Ottawa playoff series, which we used to own them .. ajs510 122
I feel like I've had this exact argument before, on this board I'm having deja vu. double postThis was pretty classic.
serge 904
For those of you that missed it, here mr Calamari going berzerk yesterday..Hopefully he will get suspended..Its not bad enough he high sticked the rookie in the face, then he wacks him with a nasty slash.. doox 15
Ok, that's pretty bad - that's gotta be a suspension.
strategy 4
hahaha the pro-habs youtube commenters Niederreiter continuously used his stick as a weapon on Cammalleri and you could see he was saying things that pissed cammalleri off, in 7 years in the Nhl Cammy never lost it like this so the guy probably deserved it.. I know it's cheap shot, but look at your useless comment and think of something better to say Most of the people who commented they don't no shit and didn't even watch the game! Go cammy! TheDaveyG 6
Wasn't there a player who got arrested for intentionally hitting a guy in the head with his stick?
serge 904
Wasn't there a player who got arrested for intentionally hitting a guy in the head with his stick? Not sure if you are referring to the incident in Toronto in the 80s, Dino Ciccarelli I believe..
TheDaveyG 6
Not sure if you are referring to the incident in Toronto in the 80s, Dino Ciccarelli I believe..It was more recent than that. Happened in either Vancouver or Edmonton. Maybe is was McSorley. I remember he was behind someone and whacked him in the side of the head.

No excuse for it at all.... my guess is first 3 of the regular season...
canadianyanke 0
It was Mcsorely on brashear. he beat me to it
serge 904
There is some other history with Calamari: Cheapshot on Havlat.Hopefully at least a few games, most importantly opening night.
Zach6668 513
1 game at the most, IMO.
serge 904
I think it might be more..We have seen similar cheapshots and stick swinging incidents, but its rare when a player goes after another player repeatedly like Calamari did...The stick to the face , or the slash should be at least a game..But taking the whole play together where he repeatedly went after him, it should be at least 3 games like Chris said. serge 904
Calamari gets one game..Way to send a message morons.

"its ok Adrian, he just gets to sit out against the Leafs, a game they would lose anyways"

"its ok Adrian, he just gets to sit out against the Leafs, a game they would lose anyways"Come on, wasn't that bad. The shot near the face was ugly, but he was obviously not trying to injure him. The following slash was also ugly, but also not the worst place you can slash a guy.Maybe two games would've been better, but that's all this was.

strategy 4
I don't think serge is overreacting here. sadly it's the NHL so of course they're going to sandbag it.

mrdannyg 274
So you can slash someone in the face without trying to injure him?ok.Doesn't look to me like a slash in the face. Think about what a professional hockey player can do with his stick. Then watch what Cammalleri does. If he was really trying to hurt him, he would have.Disclosure: I have Cammalleri on all my fantasy teams
