Im enjoying this season so far as well, but im easily entertained. Also i refuse to use my brain while watching a fictional show, and just want ppl to get be shot and see stuff blown up. The plot holes ppl put out there make sense but i can easily look past them and still enjoy the show, its sorta how i go through life, just close my eyes and enjoy the ride. :club:
I don't specifically attack the holes unless they're unavoidably retarded. Heroes has done it a brazillion times where I'm trying to just go with the flow but it drives me insane how only stupid people get powers. The whole argument about why they would give the CIP device is actually has some logic. Imagine you're Tony. You know a crew is going after this device. You don't retrieve it, you're out of the loop. By doing nothing you get nothing. We're supposed to believe there are other arguments for why they had to do it that way and I'm fine with it. It's wildly entertaining and I'm curious as to what Tony's up to and whether the lady president sticks to her guns and sacrifices her husband. Must admit it was funny hearing him referred to as the "First Gentleman". To think Clinton could have been Mr. First Gentleman President Bill

How about they got the CIP thing because a guy built it.And what do you know, they still got that guy.So the obvious best thing to do with him, is make him a human bomb that can warn the intended victims.Much smarter than keeping him alive to make you a new CIP and still planting the bomb behind a desk so they couldn't see it.What next? Capture Jck and tie him to a metal table with a laser beam set to slowly cut him in two as long as he doesn't figure a way to cut his straps holding him to the table?Thought freckles was going to reveal herself as the mole when she got the guy and his wife all alone and Motubow was escaping.Guess they are holding her treachery till hour 20

the old batman episodes were the best - lets slice Batman in half with a rotating saw - but while he's slowing creeping towards his death - let's stop out and get a muffin

That was the first decent episode of the season I think. The baby torture was awesome, and there was some other good stuff too probably. There's still plenty of huge holes though (that's what she said! (hmm..not sure about that one)). They did a poor job of explaining why they let whatshisname get the CIP device. I also don't buy that Jack Bauer and his crew are the only people who can handle this job because the government is corrupted. I mean I understand the concept that there are moles in the FBI, CIA, White House, etc. and they would know what's going down with any operation, but they could still assign a super-undercover-killer-special-ops team with radio silence to aid Bauer. The biggest problem I have is believing that extremely high-level secret service agents would be corrupted to the point that they would murder a member of the first family. This line was awesome, and classic - President: How do I know I can trust you?Jack Bauer: With all due respect Madame President, ask around.

this much I know.....this season is way better than season 6. and thats a start. Season 6 was like Rocky V. blech.
I never bothered finishing that season. I got to the part where he was got caught in an embassy, again, and gave I up there. I guess what I missed is that CTU got dismantled and Almeda got killed... but not really.

When freckles was slapping Bauer in the preview over and over saying "do you feel that?" after every time kind of reminded me of a bad porn.
i'm guessing sis in the wheel chair is going to need someone else to help her from now on

It makes sense that jeanene garfolo (sp?) is the mole. The show has been said to be popular among conservatives annd I read somewhere that she had 2nd thoughts about being on it.Her quote from Left-Wing Blog Eccorazzi:The reason a person is a conservative republican is because something is wrong with them. Again, that’s science – that’s neuroscience. You cannot be well adjusted, open-minded, pluralistic, enlightened and be a republican. It’s counter-intuitive. And they revel in their anti-intellectualism. They revel in their cruelty.Funny how a lot of lefties are soooooo open-minded.

Unimaginative writing for this season. Boo.
getting better - i was i more interested in what was going on during the last 2 episodes than i have beenat any point since season 5. the whole "gotcha! garofelo isn't really the mole" thing was predictable, but otherwise i have no complaints. i kinda like where they're going with the moral conflict jack is driving freckles into.good to see morris is still a wimp - mrs. chloe.

Chloe is so great she can almost make up for how dull and formulaic the season has been so far. It's like, in season 1 Nina was the mole and that is tough to top as far as somebody working from inside CTU or now the FBI. Then season 5 the goddam president is the mole. Now any mole that they find is just kind of boring, like oh wow big surprise, nobody saw that coming. Whether it's freckles or her boss, Garofolo or her partner, the President's top aide guy, whatever. I am unsurprised. Now we know one of them, and I would be very surprised if we don't find at least 2 or 3 more this season. I dunno, whenever they introduce a new character it's all 'oh is he a mole or isn't he? oh he is? well I figured he might be because I figure everybody might be.'I do like that CTU people are all being investigated now. I mean, remember when Jack Bauer murdered that federally protected witness and then cut his head off? He should kind of go to jail for stuff like that, and I like that the show is questioning the morality of its main characters to some extent.

Yeah but its such a straw man they are attacking because all of Jack's sins have been to stop the world from blowing upHe was before the committee for like what 7 seconds before they begged for his helpI know Jack's heroics have all been sort of on the down low but doesn't anyone in the Gov know he's Jesus?

Yeah and the committee investigating him was presented as bad guys kind of, but I like that they have it as another plot layer this season.

I suppose although - the one thing that I thought was interesting about 24 was that torture wasn't even ever questioned - it was the ruleDavid "Jesus" Palmer did it to the head of the NSAEvery agency had their own torture specialistThey've tortured innocent people and said - oops my badIt was as if they were saying - our official policy is no torture and then the entire government went in the back room and giggledIt's actually a serious issue and since the very fate of the world is on the line each year in 24 its never a real argumentThe real problem with torture is that allowing it publicy starts getting knuckleheads like lyndie whateverhername was in on itAnother thing i find interesting is the following - they've tortured like 100 people know on this show and each time its a totally different method - I understand if Jack's in the field and all he's got is a fountain pen - but shouldn't there be one method of torture that's proven most effective? The secret service guy is electrocuting guys - CTU is using needles - someone study this - we should be more efficient in our torture
