GeneralGeeWhiz 0
I'm happy that Tiny Tim won, but 138 pitches scares me. Oh well, he probably locked up the Cy Younghttp://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/news/ga...jsp&c_id=sfStory on the Giants website.
wsox8 10
http://www.covers.com/pageLoader/pageLoade...8/log43072.htmlIf you look at Lincecum's pitch count in each game, he's been worked the whole year. In 11 games he has pitches at least 115 pitches, so maybe he's just a work horse. I sure hope that's it because I would hate to see him get injured.
MDXS 0
lol @ any discussion of anyone other than Lee in the AL, so we'll move along to the MVP. Why no love for Morneau? .313/23/121/90/.908, compared to Pedroia's .327/17/78/112/.876, and Morneau did it with much less help. Even Josh Hamilton should get some consideration, being the centerpiece for the best offense in baseball and putting up numbers that blow most other guys away. If he hadn't gotten hurt, we'd have to talk Quentin, too.Biggest reason is positional adjustments. .876 from above average defensive second baseman is significantly better than .908 from a first baseman. Morneau certainly belongs in the conversation, especially if the Twins make the playoffs...though I would possibly place Mauer ahead of Morneau.

AmScray 355
It's likely that Pujols will go down as one of the top 10 players of all time. That's right- I said it. Argue with me now, but be prepared to eat your words with a spoon when he retires...
Tactical Bear 3
It's likely that Pujols will go down as one of the top 10 players of all time. That's right- I said it. Argue with me now, but be prepared to eat your words with a spoon when he retires...His only obstacle is his health, and perhaps his real age. He's the best hitter in baseball, and he's the best defensive first baseman in baseball, so there's really not much to argue about.

PMJackson21 0
I'm still waiting for Patrick's input....No opinion on AL mvp.Cliff Lee for AL CY Young; I was probably more impressed with his start against the Dodgers earlier in the year then any other pitcher they faced. As much as I'd like to take Manny for NL MVP, I'll go with Pujols. If Manny won the MVP, Boras' asking price would be even more ridiculous then it already is going to be.Annnnd as much as I'd like NOT to take Lincecum for NL Cy Young, I can't ignore how how dominant he has been for most of the season. That being said, I think Webb will win it, especially if he gets his 23rd win.

It'd be like a sweep for the AL.It is actually a bit discouraging when all you here is American League talk on ESPN, ect. and then these players come in and do just dominate. Manny and Torre have added a bit to the espn coverage of the Dodgers though, so I can't complain.
timwakefield 68
Pedroia for MVP. He really carried us. He's leading the league in hits, runs, doubles, and has a very good shot at the batting title. He also has 17 HR (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and is 20 for 21 in stolen base attempts. And I dunno anything about who's gonna get the gold glove, but he's REALLY good at 2b.
cwik 0
Alright, looks like like all the meaningful games are wrapped up for the NL Cy Young. It is going to be a lot closer then most would have ever suspected. Ironically for the three players I am putting up for serious consideration (Webb, Lincecum, and Santana), none of their teams made the playoffs. While Sabathia had a phenomenal post trade run in the NL, and did pick up a considerable amount of innings as the Brewers through him out there every other day, I just don't think it you can still justify giving him award only playing half the season in the league. Here are the key numbers:W-L, ERA, SO22-7, 3.30, 183 18-5, 2.66, 265 16-7, 2.53, 206Other numbers like innings pitched and and WHIP are surprisingly close for all three pitchers. Really I think that if they voted for this with three different times you could get three different winners, it's that close.
runthemover 39
for whatever reason, PTI had David Aldridge talking about Baseball. baseball, folks! You can't talk about the NL Cy Young w/o mentioning Lincecum or Webb (one of the two should win it).
