I dont hate the way you played it. Id be happy getting it in on the flop against this opponent with less than a full buy in but that still might not be the best way to play it. He could be bluffing and be drawing very slim which if the case we would probably rather call and give him some rope. On the turn I dont hate a check behind but with 1.5x pot left in the hand Id probably be looking to get it in with a bet on the turn and a bet on the river because we probably have the best hand against a loose passive opponent and with so little behind in comparison to the size of the pot playing for pot control becomes less important. On the river I think I just call. The pot sized bet is kinda scary and I dont think we have the best hand over 50% of the time when we push for value and get called and at the same time we definitely have the best hand over 1/3 of the time making the call better than a fold.

Do you want to play for stacks here? If yes, bet the turn. If not then: * betting the turn gets value from draws * checking the turn gets a little more value from made hands on river. * number of made hands far outweighs the number of draws in his rangePlayed fine IMO.

"PTownTommy played this odd, do-da, do-da"What limp/calls preflop, then c/r flop only to check the turn on a complete brick? AT? I think I 3-bet flop and call a shove. But your play is pretty good given his strange line.

44
Ah yes. But surely he bets the turn with 44? It's pretty clear we have an A.

NHAction is just weird, but one way to make sense of it is the old double check-raise. Some bad players love c/ring to the point that they prefer it to maximizing value. So I see some donks definitely playing TT/44 this way. On the other hand, he might be playing the hand strong only because doesn't consider all of the information from street to street.e.g.AJ - flop top pair, now let's raise him out of his seat (minimally)!Turn - damn, he called. Must have AK/AQ. Better check/call to keep the pot small.River - he checked too! Must have KK/QQ! Pot it!
