Brian Townsend or Freddie Deeb come to mind. I'm trying to figure out how he means "on top of the world" in his comment. Great cash game player? Major tournament winner?Durrr? lol

On top of the world recently? That leaves Moneymaker out. Don't think he's won for a very long time. Anyone think of Silent Mike? Or noisy Mike Matusow for that matter?

I have a question for people.Obviously there is a pride thing, and a want to be the best ever mentallity with playing poker, like any game or sport. But when you play for a living, its a career. and careers are how we make money to live and in some cases to live wealthy and well.so if and when you as a poker player ever held a roll of 10 million + would you think. Ok time to retire?I know you wouldnt be able to go back to 50/100 if you are used to 2k/4k.. but maybe travel the world? enjoy time with your family, new hobbies?

Not that I could imagine 10 million dollars, but once you work your way up to that, wouldn't you think you are invincible?

There was an incredibly long thread on 2+2 about this. Once I am done with this session I will see if I can find it. There is no way it is DN. If I remember correctly, people that know a lot more about these games than I do were speculating 2 or 3 people it could be.

From stories about gambling that I have heard about and read, it seems to be all about the action. I also think that pride is a factor as I have heard so many players including DN say that the true test for them is to be able to tournament success as well as play in the biggest cash games. If DN is at the point where he is very comfortable (which obviously he is) and has all the other interest more power to him. When I thought of asking the question is wasn't meant as an indictment at all, or an insinuation that he is broke. Just curiosity I suppose.

Townsend is my guess.
I think he might have been one of the 3 but I am pretty sure there was good evidence it was someone else.

For those who guessed a nl player, read what Eli wrote........
Read again what Eli wrote and almost every person that has been guessed can not possibly be who Eli is talking about. It can't be players like Booth and Townsend. It isn't Daniel. It has to be somebody who used to be a regular in the Big Game in the past. The Big Game is the mixed game that is mostly limit so keep all the one dimensional NL players who have only been around for a short time out of your guesses. I don't know who it is but it's really easy to know who it isn't.

For some reason I thought BT played in the big game some but I guess it was mainly PLO and NLHE against Sammy and others.I don't really know who the regulars are in the big game anymore. If Freddie played, then he is my guess.

I'm not positive but I think Chau Giang was who they said was the most likely person.
