cwjones14 0
Quote from Eli Elezra in recent Cardplayer articleEE: Look at some of the players who play in our game. One player, for example, was on top of the world recently. He had about $10 million or $12 million to his name. He played as high as $8,000-$16,000 and now he can't even ante in our game. Now he is playing much smaller games, $400-$800, which is still big to some people. But he can't come to our game anymore because he has to build himself up first. I think that he made a mistake by jumping too high.

Well that and there isnt a golf course in Bobbys room.

I also am aware that he is not hurting for mobneys. Just a bit curious. He does post his winnings and losings frequently which kind of brings on these types of ponderings
bigcoled 1
Antonio Esfandiari? The magician made his money dissappear? Phil Laak? The unibomber blows up his bankroll?I really think it's Antonio.

fighter 4
Before I get to the show I want to tell you about something that has never, ever happened to me before and I'm not even sure it's ever happened in poker history:I was playing $100-$200 PLO on Stars and was up about 50k, but was getting bored so I typed in the chat box asking if anyone wanted to play HORSE? One guy in the game says he'll play so we start a $1000-$2000 game heads up. After about 45 minutes or so I was up around 40k or so when he types in, "I'm pretty new to this game, do you think you can make comments on my game?"I thought for a moment back to the days before young kids made brazillions playing poker online about what a $1000-$2000 game would look like. Also, how there were no players "learning the game" at those limits. The guy I was playing was a 25 year old Asian kid from Netherlands who apparently has made millions playing PLO online and is looking to learn HORSE. He was playing me, knowing that he was an underdog but felt like he could learn something from the experience.Strangely, I felt pretty comfortable "helping him out" by critiquing a few of the hands he played and he genuinely seemed to be thankful for it. It was all a bit strange, but I went with it. I ended up winning about 100k off of him and it didn't seem to phase him at all. Man, poker has changed SO much! http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-jour...&ucat=&yeah not even one ante

SlapStick 0
The quote doesn't even make sense with DN and most of the players mentioned here like Laak and Antonio didn't even play the big game, as in HORSE etc.He won a bracelet so instead of all the "is DN's career over threads" I guess the "is he broke" threads will take their place
