BigDMcGee 3,355
Hey, I just saw this. I think next year, if I'm still managing money for my friends, I might make money out of the fund. I was thinking about buying half myself, and then half from the fund, or something like that. If I have a good NFL season, and it looks like I could compete at that level, I might solicit contributions from some of you clowns. You're first on the list to buy a share, Poopy.Put me on the list, as well.
BigDMcGee 3,355
It'll save me money in the long run, because I'd tilt really bad if all my friend bet UM and I didn't have any money on the game. How much is it going to tilt you to lose the bet, and have UM lose outright? BigDMcGee 3,355
I'm getting murdered on my picks.. I need Western Mich to get a touchdown in order to turn this day around. I believe this is called the "Back door cover" in the business.. come on meaningless touchdown against the second team defence!

BigDMcGee 3,355
Here are my picks.. these are fictional, I'm just seeing how I do this season, how well I've grasps contrarianism...300 unit bankroll. Western Mich +14 over Nebraska ( 2 units) (-2)AR State + 19..5 over Texas Am ( 1 unit) (+.95)Bowling Green +13 over Pitt ( 1 units) (+.95 Should have doubled down against Wannsadt. How the hell does he keep getting coaching jobs.)Kent State +10 over BC ( 2 units) (-2)UL Monroe +26.5 over Auburn ( 1 unit) (-1)Miam (oh) -4 over vandy ( 1 unit) (-1 That's what I get for taking a favorite)I'm going to put 5 percent vig, just to make things easier, this is just a preliminary inquiry on how I pick, to get a rough Idea. Right now, I'm down to 295.9 units.

powerpoker 0
Saturday was an ok day for me finishing 5-3, and pushing my YTD record to 8-5.Sunday games:Kentucky at Louisville: I would take the points with kentucky since louisville has no buisness laying points with such a horrid defense. They were bad last year and only 4 starters are coming back which means more of the same reults. Meanwhile Kentucky has a solid defense coming back and that is going to be the key in this game. Both teams will have a new qb (Louisville qb is a senior and has played in 18 games in his carrer as a backup while Kentucky qb is a sophomore and has thrown less than 10 passes) and both teams lost most of the thier top recievers from last year. Although the rb core for Kentucky looks solid. So in this rivalry game ill take the team with a better defense and a solid running game against a porus defense with good qb but not much else going for them.Kentucky +3.5 buy up to 4COL (-11) @ CSU- CSU is starting with a new head coach this year which usually means it will take longer to implement the new offensive schemes into the system. They also have a new qb going up agasint colordo's defensive which played well last year. The best defensive player from CSU (Tommie Hill/DE) is recoving from shoulder surgery and not yet 100%. Cody Hawkins, the coaches son should have a monster game through the air since this is his second full season running the offense and did well last year. Colorado aslo should have a decent run game although the o-line is young they do have some experience from last year. Hopefully they will be able to open some holes for Darrell Scott, a top recruit at RB. The rams defense last year was good against the run only allowing 128 ypg which is the main way i feel that CSU will be trying to move the ball.Colorado -11Hopefully finish 2-0 tomorrow and ill do a small write up for the monday games tomorrow...good luck everyone
powerpoker 0
You should probably do it every time, then. That half-point is probably worth about 11-12 pts. of juice. If you can go from -7 -110 to -6.5 -120, you're getting the best of that trade. Most places it costs a little extra to buy onto or off of seven.i will only do it if its on a key number i want to get onto of off of...usually 3,4,7,10,13,14,17 etc...those other numbers 2,5,6,8,9,11,12 etc usually dont come into play often enough to lay the juice. At least thats how i view it.
powerpoker 0
Sunday was a good day...2-0 to bump me to 10-5 on the year.2 games today and so far i only have action on one.Tenn (-7) bought down to 6.5 vs. UCLA- First off UCLA has been crushed by injuries in the off season and they only have 9 starters back total anyway and a new head coach. They have 4 new starters on the o-line and 3 new starters in the secondary as well. This team should be decent against the run i just feel that if there offense cant move the ball there D will get tired in the 3rd and 4th quarter. They have a tough schedule this year so this is going to be a long season for the bruins this year. Tenn on the other hand has 8 offensive starters back including there star running back Arian Foster, and 4 starters return on the O-line as well which should help open holes for him and also protect Crompton on passing plays. Thier defensive was both good and bad last year, but have 6 starters coming back. Against other sec or top tier teams in the country they could struggle but against an injury riddled team like UCLA with a new coach i like thier chances. Tenn -6.5If i get involved in the other game ill try to have a write up for it...my lean is to take the points with Fresno but i have not made def decision on that yet....good luck to all

Western Mich +14 over Nebraska ( 2 units) ( I'd like to go even higher here, but I 'love Nebraska, and it sickens me to bet against them ,but this line is too fishy)AR State + 19..5 over Texas Am ( 1 unit)Bowling Green +13 over Pitt ( 1 units) (+1 Should have doubled down against Wannsadt. ltrainkoja55 0
I know this is nfl but the line is 6.5 for steelers. Should I buy it down to 6 for -120. appreciate the fedback
powerpoker 0
I know this is nfl but the line is 6.5 for steelers. Should I buy it down to 6 for -120. appreciate the fedbackI wouldn't...i dont consider 6 a key number. There are a few scores that you have to be scared of such as 23-17 or 27-21 type of scores, but those scores simply dont happen enough for me to lay the extra dime in juice for buying it down. The key numbers i look at are 3,4,7,10,13,14,17 etc. If team A covers 4, they most likely will cover 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5. Just my take on things...good luck.
ltrainkoja55 0
thanks-- I will take the 6.5. I need the luck but am not holding my breath. I still do not know how I lost the Tenn Vols game--- unbelievable--- good luck to you
powerpoker 0
thanks-- I will take the 6.5. I need the luck but am not holding my breath. I still do not know how I lost the Tenn Vols game--- unbelievable--- good luck to youTenn got simply out coached in this game. They had a key turnover in the 3rd quarter inside the 5 when they could have made the score 21-7, but instead the RB fumbled gave the bruins new life. They made adjustments with thier qb having him throw short passes instead of him airing a few out like he did in the first half. If you noticed in the first half UCLA coach wall all over his shit about throwing deep telling him there are guys open underneath...second half he found them. We made 0 defensive adjustments to this and simply refused to blitz which made no sense. Staying in a zone against Norm Chow the entire game was a mistake. Our veteran O-line couldnt contain the DT's and pick up the blitzes of UCLA (surprising to me acutally), and we never moved out qb out of the pocket so they never needed to adjust thier defense. If this is something that Tenn is relying on for the entire season they are in big trouble in the SEC.
ltrainkoja55 0
good analysis-- well said I agree with that Ten past success has been talent not coaching. Now the talent is good but not as good and they can not win. Four interceptions in the first half and your up 7. Come on!!! I feel cursed as I had a horrible week one. I need a strong week 2 or my season will be over before it starts------ D'oh
