aadams_22 3
it is pretty bad and I do feel for you guysI can't see how the Marlins will get public funding for a new stadium. They want a new stadium, but can't even fill the one they have now with a good team in it. I know they are playing in a football stadium, but if the fans are really into the team they will come out to see them no matter where they play.
showstopper24 0
Obviously I'm biased, but I think Cleveland is the worst city. The teams are often great but can never win. The Indians blew a 3-1 lead over Boston. 1 win in 3 games is all they needed to win the World Series (if the Indians won, they would've beaten Colorado). The Cavs play one of the most competitive series in playoffs history and lose in an amazing game 7. The Browns have an awesome year but can't make the playoffs even though the Super Bowl winning team had the same record...and that's just last year. Lets not forget Michael Jordan kicking the Cavs asses or the Indians needing one more out in game 7 of the World Series and they lose.
Mercury69 3
Try having been a baseball fan in Montreal in the 80's...Nothing worse than having a quality team that can't generate enough gate to hang on to a group of bona-fide stars and have to start from scratch every fucking year.Monteal didn't deserve a baseball team and I'm glad they lost the Expos, but I'm sad at the same time... That team was loaded as you have already mentioned. They also had the best record in baseball and had a great shot at the World Series Championship. Then the strike came, everyone lost interest in Montreal, and the team off-loaded most of their stars. That strike put a halt on a new stadium for the team, and the owners refused to pay to keep the stars on the team.
HollywoodAFD 0
Nice. Our weather is good though !http://www.forbes.com/business/sportsmoney...820badfans.html Holy cow !"Over the past year, the city's four major sports teams--the Dolphins, Marlins, Heat and Panthers--have combined to win just 40% of their games while fans have forked over money for tickets and accouterments at the seventh-highest rate among 29 major sports metros."That's pretty bad.And because of that.... I will destroy you in our fantasy league.Muahahahahahahaha!
