Deftones150 0
Poker Stars $10 NL full ring. I know my bet sizes are way off but to be honest I was six tabling and had just hit broadway on one table trying to get as much value out of that as possible and had AK suited on another so I really didn't give this hand the attention I should have. I hadn't played too many hands at this table so I really didn't pay much attention to it. The Villain is a 43/5/1 so I can pretty much take QQ+ and AK out of his range. What should I be betting PF to get a better idea on hand range? On the flop, should I have left myself a way out of the hand???PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)saw flop|saw showdownBB ($7.75)UTG ($9.40)UTG+1 ($4.40)MP1 ($1.15)MP2 ($13.85)MP3 (Villain)/ ($8.25)CO ($11.05)Button ($1.80)Hero ($9.60)Preflop: Hero is SB with K, K. 2 folds, MP1 calls $0.10, MP2 calls $0.10, MP3 (Villain)/ calls $0.10, CO calls $0.10, Button calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.5, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.40, MP2 folds, MP3 (Villain)/ calls $0.40, CO calls $0.40, Button folds.Flop: ($2.35) 3, Q, T(4 players)Hero bets $3.1, MP1 calls $0.65 (All-In), Villain raises to $7.75, CO folds, Hero calls $4.65.Turn: ($18.50) Q(3 players, 1 all-in)River: ($18.50) A(3 players, 1 all-in)Final Pot: $18.
pokerinc 0
obv. make it more pre. nothing else to comment.
gt9550 0
I might be crazy but i'm thinking make it .80 preflop. I think you gave everyone great odds with only making it .50. Otherwise, it is what it is.
Dictius 0
I'd probably make it like $1.0 preflop, cut down villains implied odds.
NoBBiR 0
You got it in with the second nut overpair. If you lost, I wouldn't be too worried about it. Also, if you're looking for a way out of the hand (which you really shouldn't be), then why overbet the flop?Just raise more preflop next time. 5 limpers = at least $.8 - personally I make it $1 at least. ChuckP 0
You should not ever be thinking for a way out of a hand before you even see the cards. That is ridiculous to even say. With 5 limpers into the pot the odds of your KK holding up are very low. So like everyone else has said. Make it more preflop to $1. Obviously 6-tabling is way too much for you to handle. I would suggest maybe 2 or 3 tabling. 6 is just seems ridiculous for you at this point.
regionx8 0
I agree with everyone else who said bet more. personally i probably would have just shipped it in.. A lot of people at these stakes will call with any pocket pair cause they think.. ok well im ahead of AK. and with 5 limpers i don't see all 5 folding to a push and you can expect to be ahead 100% of the time. Just my opinion.. im no expert

Deftones150 0
I was pretty much thinking what you have all been saying I just wanted to make sure I was right. Obviously I lost or else this hand wouldn't have thought so much about the hand. To ask another question though: assuming the same stack sizes and the pf bet that I should have stuck out there with only the villain calling instead of three what is the best line to take to get the maximum value from this hand against a competent player??? Or did I get the results I should want even though I played it funny?? I'd really like to know for future reference. KK is the hand I have the most difficult time getting value out of. I win tons of small pots but in the long run I'd like to be able to get a few more BB's out of it without trying to be tricky and screwing myself.

Sheiky 0
no....??Smasharoo was an old FCP member who pioneered a low stakes NL strategy where you just shove your big pairs for 100BBs PF every time, call with any suited ace and pair to flop a flush or a set, and fold everything else. REvans84 0
Definately raise more pre flop. After your raise of $0.50 your giving the original limper better calling odds than what he had when he originally limped!Needs to be at leat $1 like everyone else is saying so the calling stations that do call you with Ax are at least making the wrong call. What did the villain have? Make his flush on the river?

Snamuh 0
AQo so it was bad turn and worse river. How the hell does that make you question how you played it? You got your money in with him drawing to 5 outs. Other than raising more preflop (to .90 or more), this is super standard.
