Vancouver, Canada has an excellent poker scene... Unfortunately, even if you make a killing at the poker tables, the cost of living will gobble it all up.

This the casnios pay tax on the rake they take, so you have already paid your tax and therefore you dont pay tax again. Trouble is if you buy Smokes with your winnings you taxed , if you buy beer with your winnings your taxed, etc etc Plus you would still have to pay National Ins to cover your free healthcare even if you dont want it.Some tax rules in uk are good, most are ****ing stupid

+ It's an awesome city, near the rockies. I really liked B.C. I'd take Canada over the UK anyday if I were in your shoes

Hope this helps you.We don't pay tax on any winnings in the UK (lotter, horses, poker, casino etc).We do pay more in income tax (but if you are playing poker for a living don't worry about that!).Our live poker is 'ok'. You can find fairly good cash games in and around London. We never get large tournies though, largest regular being the GUKPT which is a $2,000 buy in and gets around 400 runners (this tours around different casinos).

Totally agree, i think the motto of the current gov't is, "if it moves tax it, if it doesn't move tax it."

Like the cold and gorgeous scenery, and plan to play online, Alberta (between Calgary and Banff). There is some live casino action, AcesRule can tell you more about that.More the beachy kind I cant imagine anything comes close to Costa Rica.

banff/jasper are at least a full day drive from Vancouver. it's 500 miles each way. compared to lots of places in the world, vancouver is close to the rockies. but it's a lot closer to the coastal range...

Not really sure about Irelands "tax" laws, but we give artists shit loads of tax breaks and have a great welfare system. So if you're broke and lazy its good fun.
Hmmm... Do I have to draw something?
