This weekend (August 16-18) at Casino Arizona. I think there are still seats left.Things that have gotten better since last year:*Payout structure is SO much better. It's not as top heavy and 60th place gets $2300 (More than 2X buy-in)*600 people which means $650,000 prize pool ($50k added)Things that have gotten worse/stayed the same:*2 Day 1's start with 300 a piece and play down to 30. Stupid because day 1a might take another level longer to get down to 30 so how do you remedy this when 60 come back on day 2?? I guess they're planning on starting everybody on the same level come day 2.*Structure is still a little too fast but I'll take 10k starting chips with 45min levels over their regular crapshoots.*They're not staggering seat assignments, they're just filling tables up as people register...meaning if 4 friends go to the window and register at the same time, they'll very likely end up at the same table and could easily soft play eachother/collude/squeeze. Luckily for me I satellited in so I'll most likely be playing with a lot of the same players I played the satellite with....they were not very good to say the least. So any of you guys playing? If so let me know...I'm at Table 28 Seat 4.

I'm not playing, but I heard about this. You could easily get a bunch of guys together to collude/chip dump and knowing some of the guys there I'm sure this will go on. I expressed my dismay about it.Mark

Yea it's quite amazing how stupid some of these mistakes are. From what I've heard and from my own experience, they're being quite stubborn about doing anything about it. It's as if they realize how silly some of their decisions are but don't really want to admit it.

Half the table were just unreal bad. The other half were hard core regular grinders on their 6th and 7th seats. Seriously. I drank their milkshake.Hope this unexpected good run contunues obv.

NICE ONE!!! :club::ts I played a Shoot-out satellite last year and it was ridiculously soft. I decided to sell my ticket because of the extremely top heavy payout structure (sold the ticket for $1300...21st place paid $1200). This year I played the last MTS which got 150+ people. 15 seats given away. An example of some mind-boggling play:Guy is on the button with about 6,300 in chips. Blinds are at 500-1000 and he raises to 4000. BB pushes, Button folds. There are about 30 people left I think.Blinds go up to 700-1500 and the same guy is in the BB. Someone raises to 4500 and the BB FOLDS!!! He leaves himself 800 in chips.

Yup.Last night at 100-200 I get A-4 in the BB. one guy raises to 600...2 callers...I complete and flop a wheel. Check...ALL IN, ALL IN, fold.Wheel>7-7 > K-Q suited (although in a satty I sort of get what they did). Shipple the tripleI can only hope these clowns are at my table all day Sunday, table 18, seat 9.

Nice work, nutz! BTW, I copied the OP's notes on the good/bad of this tourney and forwarded to our CAZ team. So thanks for the heads up, KONGOS. Personally, I'm happy they fixed the payout structure...I've been harping for that change for years now. But the seating thing is still, well, baffling.Nutz--I should know this but do sattys run 24/7 whenever they get 10 people? Or is there a schedule? I might take a crack at it before the weekend if so.-TP

Hey, thanks Potsie P...hope it does something - if not this year then at least for next years tourney. As of last night, 50 seats left. I wonder what happens if they don't sell out. Does Sunday just play with less people...and still play down to 30??
