Shark527 0
Whenever I head off to the casino for a little poker, I usually play the 3/6, 4/8, 5/10 LH or low spread limit stud. Every once in a while I'll play the 1/3 NL hold'em.Question is, what online stakes would you compare to a typical 3/6 player vs. a 5/10 player? Micro stakes or a little more? 1/2?Also, the typical 1/3 NL player would be comparable to what online stakes? Possibly a $25NL? Higher or lower?
RabidTortuga 0
My experience is that the 3/6 game at the Borgata plays similar to the .10/.20 game on pokerstars, and the 5/10 plays the same as the .25/.50 or sometimes the .50/1.The 1/2 games live are almost incomparable to anything online. Nothing online plays as loose as the live 1/2 NL games at the borgata or taj.

RiscaRod 0
Live play is ridiculous compared to playing online. The lowest stakes for live players is a lot higher than online, so they get thrown into a game playing for more money than they would online with far less skill.
Kaveros 0
Online players (especially now because of that evil port security bill) ingeneral are better than live players. At crown the 2/5 plays like the .05/.10 on FTP and the$75-$300 stts play very similar to the $5.50's on FTP.Live players suck for the most part. I believe any solid online player canmake a ton of money if they start playing more live.infact one of the things I ask most of my opponents in a livegame is "do you play on the internet". If they answer no I can assume they are not good players at all.

SCS 0
I'd play more live if I could get 300-400 hands in an hour.
Merby 3
infact one of the things I ask most of my opponents in a livegame is "do you play on the internet". If they answer no I can assume they are not good players at all.I agree. Sometimes if they reply "yes, I play online" I follow it up with a set up line like, "man, I tried playing online and it's so rigged! I can't seem to keep money on there before I get my aces cracked by some donkey with J6 offsuit! I think I lost $2000 last month alone due to bad beats and setup hands." I figure if I feed them some bad beat one-liner about losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars, the losing online players will be more likely to out themselves and commiserate with someone who they feel has an even worse online track record. The winning online players will probably just keep their mouths shut, or like me, throw fuel into the "online poker is rigged" fire to feed the other players at the table. Obviously, if anyone mentions the UIGEA, the UB/AP scandal, or mentions some prominent online players, etc. you can be sure they are serious about improving their game.
