ThatPkrGuy 0
Hello everyone,Its been a looooooong time since I’ve posted here. I stopped playing online just before FCP opened its own online poker site....so as you can see its been a day or two.I will be traveling over the course of the next year so playing via Casino will be a bit more difficult. So i've decided to get back into playing online again. A couple days ago I deposited $200 and have been running well at the 3/6 to 5/10 HORSE and HOSE tables. I'm up to just over 1k and would like to continue moving up, but......Back when i stopped playing online their were various software programs that helped out online players...Poker Tracker and Ace Hud were very popular.I'm curious what the most current software programs are that players seem to be using today. I don't want to move into any sort of higher level online play and be handicapped. So until then I’ll stick to the low limit stuff until i can get back into data mining ect.I appreciate the help guys.Take Care
Giggidy 0
You deposited 200$ but are playing in a 3/6game?? Um, BR management dude...Simo seems to rate Hold'em Manager, PT3 is ok, but you can't use ith with PokerEV to generate graphs to see how you're running. I'm sure more informed ppl can step in with the other thing, I forget the name, which is s'posed to be the best thing since the wheel was invented... but is yet to appear. pt special 0
dont think that just because u dont have PT3 or pokerace hud u will be at a disadvantage, if u have a good feel for the game and play all the games decent u will already have a huge advantage over the players u are playing against.....Swings do happen tho so as long as u are able to redeposit money when u need it dont be afraid to take shots. ThatPkrGuy 0
You deposited 200$ but are playing in a 3/6game?? Um, BR management dude...I'm BR'd for 30/60 live O8...but i'm not willing to through a bunch of money into an online site without the proper software and awareness for any gameplay over the 5/10 level. I'm under the assumption most of the players in this bracket aren't really using much for poker software.....although i could be mistaken...................If anyone could provide links to the sites with the software you use, I would be very grateful. Thanks

I assumed it didnt.Everyone uses Poker EV, Poker Tracker, just like you remember, but its all advanced.I could be wrong but I don't think HUD is useful for mix games. The tracker would be good for records etc.Welcome back
ThatPkrGuy 0
Does anyone here use the PTO or PTS?I remember using PT for Holdem and it was great...but it was dealing with much less information. If anyone has any experience with PT for Omaha or Stud could you post here on how well its been working for you and does it track Hi/Lo games smoothly or is the information overly cluttered?Seems to me like the number of required hands to get a feel of your opponent given their position ect would be astronomically more than that of holdem... Suited_Up 2
Its limit, so his BR wasn't big enough but not as crazy as you are thinking.Even at limit it's only enough for one normal buyin.
SlapStick 0
Even at limit it's only enough for one normal buyin.I worked it out as 30 big bets, but the big bets are 18 there? I know nothing about limit, I just knew giggidy was talking about nl
FCP Bob 1,312
Stop confusing bankroll with buyin. If I have $500 in an account that's enough for me to play 10/20 limit with for a single table session since that $500 isn't my bankroll but just the amount I'm going to put in play for that session.Freaking bankroll nits.In the first few years of online poker I used to keep $2,000 in my account when I was playing 10/20 limit and then when they upped the largest games to 20/40 I kept $4,000 and cashed out everything above that every week and I never went broke. Of course that was full table limit holdem and you could only play at one table at a time.

Even if you assume he can redeposit... playing with 1 buyin is pretty silly. Even with your super short account strategy you had 100BB's. This was 1/4 of that. Though now that he got lucky and ran it up to 1k, it's a little better, but still.I'm also the last person anyone would call a bankroll nit.
