Will be coming from around Ohio St..... will make her scarf down that last of her meal and drinks so I can be on the road by 7:30.
Haha, that'll do just fine. I'm sure you'd be ok either way cause without traffic it's like 20 mins, but where are you eating?

Uncle Julios's on Clybourn... Chicken Enchiladas in sour cream sause FTW.
Ah, the Hacienda. Solid choice, but I know the best mexican in the city. Clark and Wrightwood, place called Tarascas. Smaller family owned type place, really good food and potent margaritas. :club:

My buddy lived off clark and wrightwood..now just down the block to halsted and wrightwood...so I know that area, but she's closer to state and ontario and has heard it was good from her friends (not orignially from Chi). I've been to the oakbrook one a few times so I'm cool with it and the sangria....will have to try Tarascas on a night we don't have to be anywhere on time. The service at Julio's in Oakbrook was really fast so I'm hoping for the same.... and I love that cartoonish logo.

State and Ontario isn't a whole lot closer to Julio's really. You're going west for that one, and north for the other. Just saying. If you want Sangria, go get some Tapas. Should try Cafe Iberico on Lasalle. That'd be closer than either of the other two. I would suggest Baba Reeba, but Iberico is a bit cheaper and closer. Iberico isn't a far 2nd though. I think a pitcher of sangria is maybe 15 bucks. I got lots of recommendations, lol :club:

Who else comes up Calumet Ave? I do, and it's a fricken disaster zone. Is Indianapolis Dr better? It takes me like 20 minutes to make my way up Calumet and it's annoying. If it takes me 15 minutes to get up Indy Dr, I'd rather go the extra mile down the interstate.I probably won't be back to the Shoe until the WSOPCE.

The venue will hold 800-850 for poker so I'm told. The thought is event number 1 will be the largest and a 800-850 cap with 50 alternates is being kicked around but I do not have the final answer on that yet.

I may post a new thread for this if a few of you are interested. Is anyone interested in a 1 table 9 or 10 person sattelite for event #6, $1100 NL Hold em?My plan would to have it be a $150 entry, with first getting a seat, and second getting either $450 or $300 depending on if it is 9 or 10 players. The winner must play in event #6, and the remaining players get 5% of the action of the winning player.I have 2 non FCPers confirmed, probably 3, meaning we would need only 5-6 more people that can play that Sunday and Monday.

IN.Suggestion would be to do it for event #2 Saturday or #3 Sunday. We could meet at the Shoe the morning if Jinky can get us a private table. If it was a home game satellite, maybe that Friday night before.
I'll check to see if it can be done like we did in Vegas at the Monte Carlo if you guys want.
That would be very nice.
