Joe Mulli 0
I have a real hard time going over the top on players. Even when i have KK QQ or AA I never go over the top. And when i do get the balls to go over the top I either get called or raised all in. This is a part of the game i am having the most trouble with. Any Suggestions
amarillotg 0
i assume your talking about NL. if you are then you have to grow a set of nuts or else your going to get steam rolled over every table you play at.plain and simple. if thats not your style then maybe you should try sticking to limit holdem where you can't lose your whole buy-in in one hand. custom36 5
I (less bluntly) agree with the previous poster. If you don't have the stomach for NL, you should be playing another game. You can't afford to play scared. I would switch to limit.
Kendren 1
And there's no shame in not having the stones for NL. I don't. Just play the best limit poker you can, you can still make good money without the wild variance you can see at NL.
Joe Mulli 0
thanks...I think i just needed for someone to say "grow a set" or "stop being such a pussy"
DTrain 0
You're costing yourself a lot of money if you play like this in nl. A lot of nl play is about table image, and you can't get a reputation as a guy people can run over any time. When I sit in a game with a very good player I've never played with before, I will go over the top of him the first time we're heads up after the flop, no matter what I have. With my style I like to win pots without a showdown, and I want to let people know they can't muscle me. If he puts in a reraise or moves in I have to evaluate, but this is a play that usually works for me if I'm in position and pick my spots.
