LJB723 0
For the love of monkeys! Can no-one hold a baton properly? Both American teams dropped it on the final change and GB (men) changed way too late. I would have put Jamaica as favourites for both anyway but now they can send Bolt and Powell's grandparents and still win!
SlapStick 0
Irish 5000m runner Cragg gives an emotional interview after not qualifiyng in his heat.Cragg said: 'Prominent names in this sport are sitting in Ireland and are talking about how we are not great like they used to be. But they forget that in the seventies they never had thirteen Kenyans under thirteen minutes. 'There is so much negativity from the top down about how people look at our sport in Ireland. It's sad because if you put myself or Mark Carroll in against any of the old guys, we could have given them a go to the line. And it's about time they acknowledged us instead of putting us down to make themselves look like legends. He lead most of the race until the last 200m'The plan was to be at the front with 200 to go and then let the adrenalin kick in. But instead of the adrenalin kicking in, I had all these demons jumping on my shoulders with 100 to go'Emotionally Cragg revealed: 'I live alone in a city where there are no people my own age. I've stuck with my coach for the last eight years and I come to somewhere like this and I'm just alone. And people are looking to f***ing tear you down when they can.'You get over injuries and you're digging deep to find something else. I mean, I don't know where I'm going to go from here.'Cragg found out 10 minutes after the interview that his time was faster than all the other heat winners and he actually has qualified for the final. loooool poor guy

That must have been a great meeting..."We really need a medal"'But we're shit at everything'"What about drugs?"'Nah, they test EVERYONE these days'"Even the horses?"'Holy feck Mick, you're onto something!' SlapStick 0
Denis Lynch and HSI officials attended a preliminary hearing with the FEI a short time ago and were informed that thesubstance found in the horse was called capsaicin. At the tribunal the FEI indicated that this substance was aningredient in some products in regular use. Subsequently it was identified by Denis Lynch as an ingredient in a product called 'Equi-block' used by him on his horse. 'Equi-block' is a product used in similar circumstances to 'Deep Heat' used on humans and Denis Lynch explained to the tribunal that he commonly applies 'Equi-block' to the horse's lower back prior to exercise.Following this preliminary hearing today the FEI informed Denis Lynch that he remained suspended for tonight's competition. The FEI have subsequently confirmed that three other riders due to jump in tonight's final at Hong Kong have also been suspended as a result of the same substance being found in their horses.Horse Sport Ireland has confirmed that they submitted a urine sample from the horse to a voluntary screening testing process made available by the FEI on the horse's arrival in Hong Kong and the results of this test were negative. The horse has also been tested on numerous occasions, includingfollowing many of its recent victories, and has tested negative on all these occasions. rinswun 6
i just watched the semi final in the women's tae kwon do and the judging was a complete joke. the gb girl obv booted the chinese in the head, right in front of the judges, and got zero points. there should be some form of appeal because these guys have got to be getting bribed or some shit. no wonder china has won so many gold, i wouldnt be surprised if they were all on roids and we found out in 20 years that china was exempt from testing. what a joke. James D 0
This guy thinks the Tae Kwon Do judging is a joke, toolol!Mind you, after the standard of officiating at the Games, I'm surprised the judge noticed he had a foot in his face.
SlapStick 0
Boxing judges a complete joke. One of our boxers was not given one point in his match even though he almost knocked the guy out and had him up against the ropes for 20 seconds pounding on him. The better boxer won but not one point?!??! one? Then another Irish guy in the final got completely ripped and had at least 4 points not given, and the chinese guy got a point for hitting him in the shoulder. Obviously I'm biased but I checked 3 different sites and every one of them says he missed out on a lot of points. One website said"if the points had of been awarded correctly the chinese fighter probably would have shaded the victory " Right, thats the standard I expect from a gold medal boxing match.jopke
