doublemeup 0
So I turned 18, and want to play some live pokah. I think Turning Stone is the closest 18+ casino to CT. Any info you can give me would help. Like where I should stay, what I should play, what tournaments they run, what cash games they spread, etc.Kthnx
Jariso13 1
I would stay at Turningstone...It wont be that expensive either depending on which spot you stay...I think the lodge is the cheapest.

Tparks86 0
F Turning Stone.Though I tend to agree......the fact is, you're 18 and you can't play anywhere else. Turning Stone is a good place to to get some experience. It's a great casino for being in the middle of no where upstate NY. If were in AC or Vegas it would seem like a pretty shitty casino. I would stay at the casino if I were you. You can get the poker room rate during the week for 80 bucks (assuming you're not going alone and can split the cost) its not bad. The hotel itself is decent. My friends and I were able to sneak lots of booze in there on several occasions. It's actually a pretty safe place to drink underage. Though I would recommend refer if you're planning on playing lots of poker.Eat most of your meals at Emerald Diner for the best bang for your buck. The nathan's hot dog stand will make you sick if you push more than a 3 dogs/day rate.As was said before, don't tamper with your smoke alarm. If you're playing 15/30 LHE you can expect the game to start at noon everday with the same 12-15 middle age scum bags. A few of them are x-mafia I believe.

UCFrizzo 0
I played there like a year ago. Pretty standard 1/2NL game going all the time. The casino is decent. Pretty fun spot if you are under 21 for sure. I don't really know how the daily tourneys are there. My buddy played a 100$ shootout I believe that he said was ok. In the middle of nowhere, but ENJOY and GL.Rizzo
Tparks86 0
Unless they've made changes - their tourney structures suck and they don't have any buy-in's above 120. Though that empire state thing is coming up, so now would be a good time to go.

Though that empire state thing is coming up, so now would be a good time to go.The tourney structure whenever they have a series of events is pretty much unbeatable due to the fact that they have all the intermediate levels (for instance, 100-200, 100-200-25, 150-300-25, as well as having the 250-500 level, 500-1000 level, and 1200-2400 level). I have my own place now and college starting soon so I've been busy. What have you and Lupe been up to? Though I tend to agree......the fact is, you're 18 and you can't play anywhere else. I would be splitting the cost of the room so that probably is the way to go. As for eating, I'll try the Diner and hot dog stand. Thanks
