I think you played it fine. Also wtf does UTG+1 play like this? Must be JJ or AQs. Before I saw the river action it almost looks like some sort of dumb slowplay. This is a small reason why Im not sure if a turn raise is right. I might be off though since I havent played LHE with regularity for months.

I play limit poker for a part time living and would have played this the same. When you raise the flop and he leads out on the turn, he is trying to show strength and thinks you are raising to see where your at. Obviously you were right in raising or he would have lead out on the river.

I play the same. BB leading the turn after your flop raise shows strenght.
This is like a picked up draw 75% of the time, imo.My instinct says to raise the turn, but in reality, I was always nitty about turn raises when I played (whether that is correct or not).

You play for a part-time living, do you?

I limit my poker play so I can still make a living. What Zach said about a picked up draw when they donk the turn is what I was thinking as well. The other 25% of the time this is someone with AA, JJ, TT, 99, who can't fold the smaller pairs when they are likely behind, and is afraid to raise the bigger pair when they are likely ahead.I also tend to nit out when they donk the turn and just call down, which might be awful.

You have better instincts than me and looking back at the hand I think you're right. If he had trips or two pair he would most likely either re-raise the flop or just make a mistake by slowplaying to c/r the turn. It's hard to guess what he has when he cold calls pf with someone yet to act behind. If he had aces kk or JJ he would raise, no?I have to get back to playing. Haven't played a hand in half a month.

So you're one of those part-time limit hold'em professionals, huh?
