I'm extremely proud of this country. I feel sorry for you if you are so ashamed of being American that you are considering moving. You live in the greatest country the world has ever seen and you want to move? Well, go ahead then, move to Canada or France and be happy.
Maybe he wants to play on PartyPoker.

I could never dream of doing something about it, I simply don't have enough money to change America.
Wow, what a surprise. Bitch and complain but to lazy to try to do anything to change what you think is wrong.

I don't think I was bitching or complaining, simply stating. I respect your right to disagree, but I don't understand why my viewpoint would offend you.

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinions but this comment is a joke to me.
Which one has done more for the world than the US. Winning 2 World Wars, stopping the spread of Communism, the greatest philanthropic country in the world. Who else does this?

Call me stupid but I never understood how one can be proud of a country that he lives in. It doesn't (in the least bit) define you as a person and in most cases the possible achievements a country made do not relate to yourself as a person at all.On the other side I don't understand how someone can be truly embarassed to belong to whatever nation, too.

Two of the most popular German bands played for free before he spoke. How many people do you think were there just to listen to them?By the way, who the hell cares how many people went to see him speak in Germany. He is running for President of the US not Germany or Europe.
Wow, glad I checked this thread.I was actually there and polled everyone as they entered.Forty three people responded they were just there to see the Hasselhoffs. The other 199,957 said they went to hear Obama speak. You're welcome.

Actually I agree with this I guess.

But to listen to people try to explain why they are voting for and excited about an Obama presidency, is ..well... sad.
Why is it sad? I find it to be the opposite. Seems to me a rather positive thing that people are excited about a presidential candidate.

I didn't see the speech yet. Did Obama say anything like "I am a jelly donut" (which is ""Ich bin ein Berliner" in the original German)? Or was that some other president?Peace,Opie

I've yet to hear a substantive response. Except "He's not Bush"
