Low Limit Pit Games In Vegas

Recommended Posts

I am heading to Vegas in 3 weeks for a bachelor/bachelorette party for 4 days (I am actually going longer with just my brother though). Anyways, I either play poker or sports bet and haven't played hardly any pit games in a long time. Also, the group that will be there are not big time gamblers, but I know the groom has said he would like to play some craps, blackjack, and roulette. My question is this, what places have the lowest min bet pit games on the strip. We are staying at Harrah's.Thanks

Harrah's should be pretty low, but next door at Casino Royale is probably as low as it gets. O'Sheas down the street. Most places depend on the day, but the crappier the place, the lower the limits.

Several things to keep in mind. The crappier the place the lower the limits. Also, the earlier in the day, the lower the limits. Mornings (5am-noon) are best. I noticed last week however that limits at all the resorts were generally lower than they were 2 years ago. The recession is hitting Vegas.

nuff said. you should be able to find 10 dollar minimums at a lot of places on the strip. If you want five dollar minimums then you need to go to a crap place like Casino Royale or O'Shea's or maybe circus circus.......or go downtown.

My favorite places to play are Mirage, and Planet Hollywood. Most of the time, you'll get $10 mins, $5 if it's REALLY slow, early in the morning, etc. PH is a bit more of a bastard with the mins, though, they seem to think they are an elite casino, so $10 is a bit tougher to find.I also really enjoy playing early in the morning, when it's a lot less busy, and you can just have some fun, chat it up with the dealers and pit boss, etc, and get better drink service. Luckily for me, early in the morning is a normal persons late afternoon/evening. :)My favorite games are Crazy 4 Poker and Texas Hold'em Bonus, purely for the entertainment I receive in exchange for the equity I give up.

I swear to God that's the dumbest pit game ever. It's not even fun. You beat the dealer, so you tie most of the time. WTF?!?!

There's a new one at IP. I played it after a few drinks, so it's hazy, but I remember being confused at first. Standard. But it was... "3-Card Texas Holdem"

I LUVVVVV the Mirage. My favorite all around place on the strip. Last time I was in vegas, I did much better playing 3 card poker than I did playing real poker. (Three of a kind twice!)

Frequent pushes are the best feature of a negative expectation proposition.

Mirage is my all time favorite as well.I got a deadly deal on a penthouse suite there, with my gf and lived it up big time, lol.Love that place. It's not too fancy, but it's not a dump. 99% of the dealers and pit bosses I met were very personable and friendly. It was fantastic. They didn't care if I was betting the min, or betting $300/spot. They know how to treat you there, imho.

Na, it's lots of fun. I don't care about winning or losing, I know what the house edge is. I just love being able to squeeze my cards and actually have a good chance to make some decent hands every once in a while. It just seems like for the cost of playing, you get the best ratio of trash hands, mediocre hands, and strong hands. It's a LOT better than something like Caribbean Stud or Let it Ride where you'll make one straight or better in your entire life, and slightly better than 3-card poker, just because you get 5 cards to make your 4-card hand. :club:

very good description all around. I feel the same way. Its the best casino on the strip where you dont break the bank. Also, the chinese restaurant at Mirage (Fin?) is fantastic.also one of my favorite sports books.

Related question - where can you find low limit table games in Atlantic City? I went walking down the boardwalk in the spring on a Saturday morning (10:00am) and couldn't find any table games with limits lower than $15.I would hate grinding away a couple hundred dollar win at poker over the course of serveral hours and then see it all go up in smoke in 15 minutes of craps.Peace,Opie

Atlantic City is basically the casino district for New York. New Yorkers pay $15 for a bagel and a cup of coffee. Hence no low stakes pit games in AC.Actually I've seen like $5 roulette tables and other misc pit games running in the wee hours on weekdays at Trop. Doubt you'll find $5 Blackjack or Craps though.

Last Friday, Borgata had a whole section of $10 blackjack tables. This was around 7pm as well.

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen anything lower than $25 BJ at Borgata and I'm usually there on week days. Guess the economy really does suck.

Binion's has opened up a new pit where they have less expensive games. I think that they had a $2 craps table with 10x odds.
