Online Poker Inquiry

Recommended Posts

For people that multi table online with pokertracker... I was curious about a few things. How many tables do you play? How many hands do you normally put into a session? What numbers should one be striving for on pokertracker with regards to VPIP, WWSF, W$SD, PFR, AF, Folded blinds%, Steal attempt%What is a decent enough sample size of hands played to begin analyzing these numbers for issues in your game. Thanks alot guys, I have found a bit of information on the specific numbers using the search function, but a few opinions would be great. Also I'm curious about how many tables people multi, I'm sure it gets easier with practice. Thanks guys.

Thanks alot.
There is great information in there about the pokertracker numbers, and the link to the 2+2 forum was good, the one thread people post and analyze stats in is good. I dont really go on 2+2, its so cluttered. I only came on here becuse I read Daniels blog all the time and wandered over here. Anyways... there really is no insight on the first few question I asked... How many tables do people play? Mostly just curious because I played 6 last night and couldnt imagine people that claim they play 24! Also how many hands per session usually?

Some people play six tables, some play more than twenty. You answered your own question. Again, different people play different amounts of sessions. Play as long as you feel that you are making good decisions. The answer to most of your questions is, 'It depends.'Good luck.

Thanks, I would definitely not be comfortable doing 20+ tables yet, guess it takes practice.

There are people on this forum who made 6 figures online last year playing 20 tables and a ton of hands. There are others who did it by playing 4 tables at a time and not that many hands and there's even one who did it by playing mostly one table at a time of limit holdem playing part time.If you are mostly new to online poker you should gradually build up the number of games that you play as just playing online is so much different than is playing live.

Thanks Bob, I've played 5-10NL Live for 2 years, successfully, yet I can only play 1 or 2 days a week while in university. This summer has been really good to me there but I simply cant do it sep-apr, as its an hour and a half each way so Friday Saturday nights only. I'm starting to try it online and now have PT3 and such to help. Right now I'm comfortable on 4 games, I have two monitors running, one I have four tables the other my PT3. I'm considering getting a third monitor set up so I can play eight. The speed of four games is fine, I just don't like the idea of shuffling between windows(tables) and would feel alot more comfortable with 4 on each of two screens. Does anybody run this kind of set up, alot of the videos you see of people online they are mad shuffling through windows.
