sdgtpt1200 0
I am looking for encouragement or some helpful advice....I would call a friend, but.... my poker buddy (best friend of 8 years) was killed in a tragic accident 2 years ago. Him and I did a lot of traveling to play poker, a lot of fun late night online poker sessions and since his death, I have been playing by myself (which isn't as much fun).As everyone knows, the game has lots of variance with good times and bad... right now I am going through a bad streak and I am considering taking my last bit of money from my bankroll and driving to the local casino to take a shot at making some money. I can't afford to play, can't afford to lose, but... I can afford to win and I can really use the money. My mindset is in desperate mode a little bit, boredom, needing some action, needing the rush or even the pain of losing... but... I'm considering making the withdraw and taking the drive to go sit and play.I don't want to something stupid... but I want to play... someone help me and give me some encouraging words of advice! In fact, you should stop playing. You have a void in your life left by your late friend which you are now trying to fill with the rush or competition of playing poker. In all likelyhood you will lose your money and you will be broke and will have lost money that you can't afford to lose. Find someone in your life that you can trust and talk to them about this. There are other ways you can fill this void whether that be with religion or another means that won't cost you money that you need. Good luck, I hope the best for you. Just do ANYTHING, something, to stay away from poker. Play a video game... world of warcraft, assassin's creed or something. In retrospect, you will be getting out of your bad streak as well. Find something to give yourself some meaning, so to speak.
