Hpt In Gary, Indiana

Hmm didn't know they were capping it. I'm probably gonna play I think. 120 x 32 if they max it out is a 3840 prize pool, top 4 get paid. So gotta win 3 matches to get into the money, doesn't seem too bad to me. Pay out 2000/1000/420/420 Who knows how the payout will go but that sounds pretty good to me. Oh well we'll see how it goes. I'm looking forward to the 6max event and the main event.. hopefully we get a bunch out for that. Maybe the PLO/PLHE events as well.Anyway hope to see you there man.Anyone else interested in the Chicago Series of Poker events that Chicago Charitable Games is running over the next couple weeks can check out this link:CSOPCheers

well today was pretty unsuccesful. Played 2 of the 115 SNGs and took 5th and 4th. first one shoved K9 on button needing a double to survive, big stack calls with q4. A9J K on turn 10 on river. Then the last one was in big blind with 700 and blinds at 200/400 with K10 and guy raised with A10, he hit broadway. Gonna be back Tuesday or Wednesday. Probably going to play qualifiers those days and try and play Friday night.

oh yea and the new dealers are horrible. They started about 20 new ones last Friday and they are absolutely horrible. They probably pushed them through in record time and you can definately tell. We played about 4 hands a 10 minute round cause the dealer kept ****ing up. Dumbass didnt even know how to do a chip race off.

I was planning on trying one of the 115 satellites, but the structure seemed ridiculously fast already, not even taking poor dealers into account.Any particular strategy tips given the structure and/or quality of players?

you start with 1700 at 25/50 and 10 minute blinds. Find a hand, top pair or better and get it in, dont be afraid to get it in with AQ pre, they will call you with a lot less. Today I had KK guy raises to 300 i re raise to 700 other guy pushes for 500. Original raiser calls then pushes 1200 All in on J high flop with A6 other guy has A3 and I hold. People see an ace and go crazy. Get a stack and sit on it.

Fun story: At the Turningstone HPT, I was playing 5/5 and the dude who does commentary for the final table was playing. Not only was he really not good at poker, towards the end of the night, he went up to some guys room to get high. Lol!
LOLI've played with that guy a few times around Detroit Lakes. He's a comic up in Fargo. I didn't know he liked to get high, maybe I should say something to him?

If you see Greg Lang or the other co-founder at a cash game you MUST sit. Under no circumstances should you pass this game up. Greg Lang is a terrrrrible lag-tard who can never adapt to fit his image. I don't know what games they spread in Gary but you'll probably see him in 2/5+.Sit in his game if you like money.

This sucks. I was just about to reply to the other guys post and say I've never had a problem with a dealer there, but if they have all new ones that would explain it.

Hey guys, I was busy with school for the entire year and I haven't posted (or played) in about as long, but now I'm back in the game.Anyway, I was at Majestic star at week ago, and I was astounded at how terrible the dealers were. I won't be able to make it to the HPT this time because I'll be visiting family. Hopefully I'll make it to the HPT in Mt. Pleasant in August.Anyway, good luck

I thought I read 120 dollar single tables and 330 dollar supers. Why you want to stake me?
lol Not really. But I was thinking if maybe some Chicago FCPers wanted to pool some money to Satty someone we can get percentages or whatever.
