Plo Poker Tracker Numbers

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out what my Poker Tracker #'s should be at for full ring PLO as well as 6-handed. Specifically V$PIP and PFR.Can any of you PT veterans drop some knowledge my way?

It's been 6 months since I was really used to PLO stats.Bud is profitable at 21/6 (or something like that)Bdc30 is profitable at 26/20ishIggy destroys souls at 32/23 ish (I think)I used to be about 30/20 IIRC.Really, if you're asking questions about stats I think your VPIP should be between 22 and 28, and PFR between 12 and 18. Something like 22/14 is pretty healthy. At NLHE 6max I play something like 32/26, but I would always tell people that 20/18ish is what you should aim for. Learn to play TAG and then expand if and when your game transitions. Some general things to note: - Don't open limp (there are occasions for it, but as a rule you should always be open raising until you know where limping is better)- Your button VPIP should be at least 1.5x more than UTG VPIP, and preferably over 2x.- Your button PFR should be at least 1.5x your UTG PFR.- Your steal% should be at least 25%, and preferably higher.- Your aggression factors should decrease from flop to turn to river. I can't remember what figures are good, but probably something like 3.5/2.5/2 is likely to be good.

You are the man sir. Very helpful. Thanks. As for your point about button VPIP being at least 1.5x more than UTG VPIP-does that apply to PLO as well as holdem?

Even more so.Position is far more important in PLO than in NLHE, and as such you should be very tight UTG and loose on the button.

All of the stuff Simo posted is pretty good except for the no open-limping part. That advice is fine for 6-max (although not quite necessary), but playing FR, if you raise a lot up front, you're going to get in trouble, especially if there are short stacks in play. In a typical online FR game, I usually won't raise anything in the first 3 positions.

Omaha can be played full ring? But yeah, open limping is fine in some situations. I just think it's a lot safer to recommend open raising everything until you can recognise those situations. For one thing, it will tighten them up in EP. Limping with trash is very cheap and easy, and can lead to bad habits.
