LycoPoker54 0
Just wondering if you guys have any experience with this, and if it is worth pursuing. any help/advice would be much appreciated
precise148 0
Definitely worth trying. I started at step 1 and after about 10 tries, got to step 6. The play at step 6 is decent as long as there is only 1 or 2 pros on the table. It's very tight but if you can make it there, you should be able to at least cash in 6th place for $500. LycoPoker54 0
yea, i bought into step 1 for 500 FPP, and won the first 2 tables i was at. so im going into step 3 right now. it seems like a pretty legit setup, I just didnt know if the competition gets ridiculous as you get to step 4/5/6. He has to have well over 6 figure income from these since they started.
LycoPoker54 0
is he just that good or what?
copernicus 0
is he just that good or what?well, he sucked out on me on what I thought was a bad call, but yeah I think hes that good. He scopes out as a $24,000 loser, but thats worthless because if you win $1500 in a step 6 that cost you $7 to build up to (or even $80 whatever if you buy into a step 3), its going to show up as a $500 loss. I dont know how it counts seat wins. The day I lost to him there was a post on 4 that claimed he won 5 seats that day.

Poker Addict 0
It's gotta be total life tilt to grind your way all the way from Step 1 to get to Step 6 and bust 9th 8th or 7th.I'd smash my computer screen.I went step 1 to 5 yesterday. Busted in 5th. So ticket to Step 4. Ultimate cooler hand, busto back to Step 1. I will keep trying. It's just like any other shootout or even a MTT, where you have to run good for a little to win the whole thing. And I didn't smash my screen. I actually laughed.is he just that good or what?I am seeing these guys in a lot of Step 5s lately too. At least Busto, Blanco and Stevie - don't worry you will recognize them. I think they finally figured that Step 5s were a way plus EV way to win because they tend to be softer then the 6 so they can save a big amount of buy ins.But they just play solid SNG strategy. Not getting out of line to start. And shove/fold strat when short. So if you are pretty good at that, you should be fine. And GLGLGL... these can be frustrating.
