Pokertracker Stats Question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I'm mostly a live player, but I wanted to start getting into playing online more and I just got PokerTracker a few days ago. Hopefully someone can help me out a bit. I've got 8,313 hands in at the full ring games and 3,793 hands playing heads up. I'm not really sure how many I need to get more accurate stats, but I'm not sure about some of my resluts anyways. I've ran pretty well and I'm up 1,325 BB's overall. When I click the graph that shows the line for money won without showdown though, that line is down about 550 BB's. Can anyone tell me what's normal for that stat? I have no idea, but it seems bad. Also, my agression factor is only 2.3 on the ring games and 2.12 on the heads up tables. Is that a lot lower than normal? Im a donkey at this PokerTracker stuff. Thanks guys.

probably would help a bit if you posted some actual stats
This is the graph is was talking about. The red line showing the money won without showdown is losing a lot. Is that normal for it to be down so much?JuneResults.png

Im interested in the answer to the question about the showdown line too...even though my graph looks like a mountain right now due to the fact that I have sucked the last month.

Start here:http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...showtopic=12767I didn't dig through for your particular answer. Also General Strategy would probably be a better place to post this to get your answers. Or if it's for a particular game then probably the Strategy forum dedicated to that game. You will get better results then bumping this thread imo. I mean this is Gen Po, just one step removed from Off Topic.

It means you are calling / betting a lot but then folding prior to show down.Probably means you are fairly passive post flop and will fold to any resistance shown by other players. That is my understanding of it, either that or its tracking wrong lol.Someone confirm what I said is right?

I was thinking about this last night, and my take on it is it's similar to how much money you lose in the BB. As money lost without showdown would (I assume) include folding in the BB/SB. As well as failed cont bets, limping and missing, etc.

when i used to play nl cash it was in the negatives all the time too. i figured out that it was probably because of 3 reasons:-i folded to 2 and 3 barrel bluffs way too often.-i was seeing too many pots out of position and check/folding if i didn't hit (which should be the biggest - in there)-i was 2 barreling too often and in the wrong spots.i never got it into the positives tho.

Hmmm... Sounds like its not just me struggling with this showdown stat. Seems like it would be pretty hard to get positive, but I'll have to see what I can do to make it a little better at least. Thanks for the responses guys.

I would think it would never be positive....unless everyone folded to you at some point during the hand more than you ever had to fold. Heads up I think it would be equal, but ring game you have to fold most of the time. I'm just guessing at this, but that's what makes sense to me. Money lost without showdown would count all blinds that didn't turn out to be winners and everyother time you had to fold during the handZach is the resident PT specialist and he's at the WSOP right now. You could try pm'ing him with a link to this thread.

I will let an expert give you a more complete answer, but it means what it says. The first 8,000 or so hands you (probably) played tighter then normal. More then likely because you were aware of your new PT software. As time passed by, you went from being less passive, and got more aggressive on the flop and turn. It's nothing to worry about. More aggressive play on the flop and turn correlates to alot more times where opponents play back at you. but as you can see, your more aggressive play is still more then compensating for that slight loss when opponents take down the pot on flop/turn.

  • 1 year later...

I haven't been on this site for so long, but I have been again the last few days. I noticed this old thread I made and thought it was funny. I finally got my damn red line figured out. It's going much better now. :club: Even if it did take me almost two years to do it, LOL.HEMgraph.png
