Vtlaxer09 4
are you serious right now? please dont tell me you actually believe everything you just wrote.my 2 cents:those with monetary interests in the bet are conducting most of it on a public forum with hundreds of people reading and posting in it. You cant expect people not to voice their opinions however shortsighted and silly they may be.those without monetary interests probably should have kept to themselves until the deadline (which has now passed) out of respect to their fellow fcp'rs trying to get together a +ev bet.(Also I hate people who read the op and posted on the 14th page completely unaware of the rest of the posts. PLease ****ing read the thread before you post and make yourself look like an idiot.)Hoos, Zim, Rdog etc. knew that this had a 1% chance of actually going through. They dont need to hear "witty" fcp'rs saying that the op is a scrub who wont follow through. These guys arent idiots... but they're going to try to get a +ev bet together until its obvious it wont be done.Maneefaces is a tool... who cares.. we dont need to keep attacking him. some people get a kick out of effing with a few guys on a forum.just my 2 cents... looshle 6
Seriously, either give a real reason why people should shut up (at the beginning of this thread, before the deadline passed, there was one and people shut up) or shut up yourselves.Because everyone involved asked you to? GWCGWC 83
double post. What's up with the site these last few days, high traffic or something? Why do you take the time to remove the persons name that you're quoting?andAre you fat?
Tehtoe 3
And just so you guys know... I don't do well with anyone telling me to shut the *** up. Not sure what gives you the right unless I was attacking you.Except Tehtoe, Fargo, Highway, Outsider and Ko8e. They do it daily. <3EDIT: (Elo's never told me to STFU, but I would be okay with it if he did too)EDIT2: Phoenix could tell me to STFU cuz well, I would be rolling on the floor laughing. Just doesn't fit his personality. What should I think about being first on this list?
Doug 0
I dont know how you can go mad at people for getting involved when they shouldnt have when there was nothing to get involved in from the word go. Firstly look at his past posts, secondly he said he would bet 9k, then the bet escalated to some high number and people all wanted a piece of the action and he didnt think twice about getting more action on the bet he was just taking anything. Also this is a forum, people can post where they like. If you wanted to set up this bet properly im sure you could have done it over AIM or using the PM function on this forum. To be honest compared to 2p2 the whole way this was set up was a joke anyway so even if it was real I doubt it would have worked.
looshle 6
just my 2 cents...As obvious as it was that this bet had a very small chance to go through, it's jsut as obvious there are going to be people giving unwarranted comments and opinions, but that doesn't change the fact that they are douchebags for giving them when asked not to.I agree that anyone who said "shut the **** up" was out of line. I only asked once and believe I was respectful in doing so. Even if there's a small chance of it happening, there's such a massive amount of money involved that you guys should oblige.A lot of you did, and I do appreciate it that. The deadline has passed and while the bet is almost never going to happen, it doesn't mean there isnt a slight chance due to stars transfers, etc etc. I just don't understand why respecting the wishes of the people involved is asking too much, regardless of how much you disagree. RhinestoneCowboy 2
Because everyone involved asked you to?Amazing how people on a poker forum won't listen to what others ask them to do...Some people think post count gives you e-muscles, but I think it's BR.
Metternich 0
Yeah looshle, I'm going to need a better reason than that to not comment on a forum topic that interests me. You all chose to conduct this transaction of a public forum where it would be open to commentary, indeed your actions on that forum publicized it more than was necessary (by posting the contract). Now you want me to not comment on it just because you say so? I respect you, I definitely respect you enough to refrain from comment when there's a chance, however small, that I could mess up the bet. But the list of people I respect enough to do something just because they tell me to is very small and doesn't include anyone I know through an internet forum.

Poker Addict 0
Keep all opinions out of this thread until the june 5 deadline has passed please.I think most people waited until after the deadlineI agree that anyone who said "shut the **** up" was out of line. I only asked once and believe I was respectful in doing so. Even if there's a small chance of it happening, there's such a massive amount of money involved that you guys should oblige. This always gets me going... I hate the stfu comment, it is just talking down to people and it will never get the response that the person saying it wants.A lot of you did, and I do appreciate it that. The deadline has passed and while the bet is almost never going to happen, it doesn't mean there isnt a slight chance due to stars transfers, etc etc. I just don't understand why respecting the wishes of the people involved is asking too much, regardless of how much you disagree.Pretty sure I waited till after the deadline as was asked. If something like this was posted that suggested you thought there was still a chance, then I think most people would comply with extending the wait. EDIT: Not all, but it is after all a poker forum. RhinestoneCowboy 2
I don't know you personally, so not sure what you mean by this post.I mean that there is no reason for people to stop talking about the bet, except that a bunch of high rollers like yourself are "asking", and all of a sudden people should stop.If the bet was this large, it should have been taken private. A public message board is just that...public.
Doug 0
asking people not to voice their opinions in a public forum and conducting a huge transfer of money in this joke of a thread is pretty stupid really.

A public message board is just that...public.This type of the thing happens all the time on 2+2.Just way too many RhinestoneCowboys on this site I guess.I think it's ridiculous you bring BR into this. It is irrelevant. A bet was trying to be made, people in the bet asked for others to not comment about it , this was a problem for the douchebags of the site.
irishguy 14
This thread shows how young the average age on this site must be. The fact that it is a community you would think that there would be some level of respect for others at the slightest chance of a very good bet going through. There is a ton of room on the forum for doubters and whoever else to mingle f-ck start a thread saying I don't believe him fine. I guess the whole "but its the internetz I must express myself" is far to strong of a desire for most.
Metternich 0
The real douchebags are the ones who want everyone to stop talking about a farce after its already over.Though I agree that BR has nothing to do with this. slightest chance of a very good bet going throughI was happy to STFU when there was the slightest chance of this going through. But that time is over, so stop pretending it isn't.

king1305 0
when did fcp get so many trolls?Well once Hoos comes on and confirms that this bet isn't taking place, feel free to ship the escrow to CrystalBalla.

A bet was trying to be made, people in the bet asked for others to not comment about it , this was a problem for the douchebags of the site.I completely agree with you in some spots. There are a lot of douchebags on this site. But it really SHOULD be completely obvious by now that the biggest douchebag in this thread is the ORIGINAL FKin POSTER.(and not a big fan of RhinestoneCowboy either, but w/e)This thread shows how young the average age on this site must be. This is really ridiculous. I am definitely a lot older the the avg here I believe. And I did keep quiet until after the deadline. But how does some of the people saying to shut the f*** up show maturity. If I had a bet going in a public thread. And I felt that people were making inappropriate comments, I would PM them. Not start going off publicly on how they could ruin my action. And I would be nice about it - asking them to please edit their post as I think it could affect the action. All that aside. The OP is a joke. He is a 24 year old kid who wanted Daniel to sample his local beers and taste his grandmothers cooking. His advice requests for strat help before a $25 tourny and his SNG experience should make all of this extremely obvious. If the OP was anything at all, if he wasn't such a douchebag himself in this thread from the get go, if he actually followed through in a timely fashion, then I am sure the majority of people would have stayed with you guys. But come on... do you guys still believe that the comments had any impact on whether this bet happened or not? Or could it be that the OP is an obvious douche?
