Just add this to the original post Guapo:shore-pauly_1992_encino-man.jpg+schneider_rob.jpgare the reason behind the thread, and listings involving them are redundant and unecessary.

The Postman.. one of the most ambitious failures of a movie ever.. Terrible acting, terrible screen play, just laugh outloud absurd. I think "Dances with Wolves" Is boring and highly overrated, but this is really Kostner's masterpiece of bad. Waterworld gets all the attention, but this movie is much, much worsehttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119925/The Day after Tommorrow. I hate this movie because it provides ammunition for those who seek to discredit global warming. And this movie is fcking awful. At one point, they outrun cold. Enough said. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319262/Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Not only do I think this movie is absolutely terrible, with terrible dialog and terrible acting. I hate this movie because it raped my childhood memories. I became so disillusioned by how crass of an artless moneygrab it was, it even colored the way I watched "Return of the Jedi" after it. This movie was successful 100 percent because of the hype, because it was labeled "star wars" If it was just a space movie, it would have been the most horrific failure of a movie of all time. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120915/Fahrenheit 9/11 What disappoints me so much about the direction that Micheal Moore has taken, is that I used to really respect him as a film maker. Roger and Me is one of my absolute favorite documentaries. Sure, it was biased and from a leftist point of view. But he really brought reality of the destruction of Flint, Michigan to America, a destruction that most people would like to ignore. But Fahrenheit was just crass, political propaganda. It was blatantly made and rushed out to help get Bush out of office, and it looked rushed and unprofessional. The fact that it won so many critical awards is a shame of the industry. They should be giving awards based on the merit of the art and craft of a movie, not giving awards to a movie that bashes bush because they hate bush. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361596/

Going to agree that people are posting bad movies not horrible movies. I submit....Magnolia. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0175880/Why does this suck so bad? Let me count the ways......First off, what an actor roster: Tom cruise, Julianne Moore, John C. Reilly, William H. Macy, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Philip Baker Hall and others.....So I think this movie is cant miss right? Then it starts....nothing makes sense....the plot seems to go nowhere....tom cruise plays a woman hating Tony Robbins who seems to be thrown into the movie for no reason until very late in the movie.....still nothing seems to happen at all.....and if that is not enough the big finale tying all these horrible, waste of my time, plot threads together consists of: (see spoiler below)

****ing frogs rain from the sky on everyone like Moses is playing a joke. Thats the ending. Seriously. You cant make shit like that up.

not only was the movie horrible but it was also a tease in that it was horrible while featuring an actor roster most directors/studio execs would kill for.my dad and I still....years later!....talk about the time we saw Magnolia, the worst movie either of us ever saw.

Beverly Hills NinjaChris Farley in his prime, I thought he couldn't be unfunny. Boy was I wrong. I left in the first 20 minutes.
You're crazy. BHN is awesome.

I think you're being extremely hypocritical to be so blind to the fact that ALL the star wars movies are awful. They ALL have terrible acting. Have you seen episode 4 lately? Mark Hamill is easily the worst actor ever. Just because a movie has a bad story and bad acting doesn't mean it can't be fun. The pod race with the sound turned way up on your home system is very cool. ** nasally whining ** "But Uncle Owen, I was going to go into Toschi Station and pick up some power converters!!!"Best action figure ever?starwars.jpg

Ok, not really a good review writer, but just wanted to mention the movie, Vantage Point, as one of the worst movies I've seen. Do I really need to see practically the same scenes over and over again from different characters of the movie? It seemed that this movie had such a low budget, they only filmed one scene and just re-played it.Anyways, that's my movie review!

I also love the fact that your first two entries are Farah Fawcett and Bo Derek movies.
I suppose I should include Pia Zadora just to complete the triad......Fawcett's 'Extremities' was sold as being a meaningful, serious movie, so it probably missed it's mark by the most of any movie. Bolero stands out for having ridiculously low aspirations and not even reaching those.I'm much less likely to see a bad movie anymore because I only get to see a few per year.

Farrah Fawcett? Bo Derek? Watchable.
I defy you to watch these two movies and come back and say the same thing. I went into them with the same belief. When 20-something males walk out of a movie whose sole purpose is to show Bo Derek nude (and I know several who did), you know it's not just bad, it's the definition of horrible.

This thread is to warn others before they waste $5 on a rental, 2 hours of there time on netfilix, or $11 at the theaters.
Hmm, the problem is when I see Moulin Rouge in there as horrible, it discredits the rest of the thread. It's one of the best movies ever, an absolutely stunning spectacle. Baz Luhrmann is a genius.I'm not sure if this one belongs in this thread, it obviously won't for most people, but for me, this movie was unwatchable:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086425/Term Of Endearment, possibly the most overrated movie of all times. A dysfunctional family goes through hard times. Yawn. What's the opposite of chemotherapy? Can we get her some already?

I submit....Magnolia.
Oh boy, strat is going to be PISSED when he sees that.I submit Batman and Robin. A movie so bad it almost killed a whole franchise. A movie so bad it was unwatchable despite having Uma Thurman in it. A movie so bad it was unwatchable despite having Alicia Silverstone in it. A movie so bad it was unwatchable despite Batman and Robin both having gorgeous erect nipples that you want to chew on their suits... I've said too much.

Por que?? Is there really someone out there that loves Magnolia? I guess different strokes for different folks but Magnolia is one of only two movies where I was so pissed afterwards that I thought of demanding my money back (the other being Life with Mikey....which I was not quite as upset about because I knew going in it probably would suck but my little sister wanted to see it.)

Napoleon Dynamite-worst movie I have ever had the misfortune of paying money to see. It was not funny at all and a complete waste of time.
You take that back!

I think it's funny that you complain that people are posting bad not horrible movies, then you submit an excellent movie. Yes there are people that love this movie, I am one of them.

I don't think "extremely hypocritical " is what I'm being. I concede that it's very hard for me to judge star wars objectively because it made such an impact on me as a child. Star Wars has a lot of flaws, and acting is primary among them. But what I would strongly argue that Star Wars has, is the fact that there was absolutely nothing like it before it. It was referential to adventure movies, serial movies, and classic fantasy mythos. But in scope, in special effects, in sheer "wow" ness, and in story telling, star wars was absolutely groundbreaking. Empire is a fine movie of the genre. But all the other movies are bad, and Episode one is the worst of them.

Yes there are people that love this movie, I am one of them.agree to disagree. all you have done is touch on the problem with this thread.....one person's worst movie ever is another person's four star special. I hated that movie with a passion and thought the ending was beyond ridiculous and made no sense. you loved it. what I wont do is call you names for liking a movie i dont.i think it is funny that you reference lots of things Star Wars references and leave out spaghetti westerns which is the thing they reference the most. so put that in your pipe and reference it.

Again, it is ok to disagree. But make sure you can quantify why the movie is so terrible. Just saying it sucks, does not cut it. I had no problem with Cane's explanation of why he thought Magnolia sucked. I thought it sucked too, but its been so long since I have seen it I cannot remember why.But he reminded me that I will never watch that movie again.

Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity It's like a space porno edited to make a PG rating. They couldn't afford more than one rock, so a chase through the space jungle passes the same set repeatedly. The lack of continuity is so bad it's a little funny.

Cloverfield was a horrible movie. The monster sucked balls. I couldn't watch it, literally, it gave me headache. Terrible filming, terrible idea. What were they thinking?
They were thinking, "Blair Witch Project made a bunch of money with no budget and annoying hand-held cameras. Let's do that, too!"

You say that as if I called you something. Get off the high horse. actually, what they reference most is Kurasawa films, the Hidden Fortress in particular. Those spagetti westerns were also hugely influenced by Kurasawa, if not out right remakes of his films, IE Seven Samuri= Magnificent Seven, Yojimbo=Fist full of Dollars....Nice try, though.

i never said you called me names. that was to try and head off an argument like this. why is everyone so touchy on the internet? my point was we should try and accept our differences of opinion on movies with some class especially since everyone disagrees on movies and what makes a movie horrible or great is such a nebulous thing to try and quantify.also i wasnt wrong to say they reference spaghetti westerns....i just didnt know that those were all rip offs as well. (with the exception of seven samurai as I knew about that one) seems that everyone rips off everyone.....

Dumb and Dumbererhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0329028/Dumb and Dumber is a movie that you cannot make a sequel to. I don't think that I laughed once through the entirety of the movie. How dumb Harry and Lloyd acted was what made Dumb and Dumber funny. They took that to a whole new level in Dumb and Dumberer, they took it waaaay too far for the movie to be even remotely funny. Of course there was no real plot line either. This was the first movie that I have almost walked out in the middle of the movie. And I love the concept of this thread since there a lot of movies that I rent/order that turn out to be huge busts and that I absolutely hate. Good thread OP.

no, you were wrong in saying that what it references the most was spaghetti westerns, and the fact that you had a "take that " smugness about it, when you were completely wrong, was delicious. And "ripping off" really is the wrong way to put it.
