Vick12 0 Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 So I am watching PAD last night and the always douche-tastic Phil Gordon starts talking to Howard Lederer about running into his mom at the Venetian. Howard shoots him a funny look and say's "That's impossible". This turns into a hilarious conversation in which Gordon is a brazzilion % convinced he saw Howard's mom and had a converstion and everything w/ her. Long story short...It turns out he thinks it was Howard's stepmom instead. Anyway...Howard and Phil make a 1k prop bet that Phil saw EITHER Howards mom or stepmom and Howard will pay the bet off if EITHER of them had a convo w/ Phil at ANY Vegas Casino in last 2-3 days or whatever. Howard THEN opens the bet to ANYONE at table. Ali Nejad "smells a rat" and reluctantly doesn't get in on the bet. Phil then says to Robert Williamson "back the truck up on this one boys" and Williamson also bets Howard 1k taking Phil's side. It should be noted that Howard KNOWS that Phil KNOWS BOTH moms and has met them on SEVERL occasions. Which makes the whole bet hilarious. Phil and Howard both 100% agree that Phil has met both of them before!!! So this is an IMPOSSIBLE BET for Gordon to lose right???????So.....finally at end of show, Howard gets his cell phone and calls his stepmom...he asks her if she was in Vegas and she says NO!!! He then hands phone to Phil who TURNS GHOST WHITE w/ a totally goofy look on his face. Howard starts cracking up as does rest of table. Even after hearing her say she wasn't there (she was in Jersey?) PHIL STILL DOESN'T BELIEVE IT!!! He and Robert both pay Howard the 1k each and Robert is just going nuts. "Back the truck up?????" Robert is also now convinced that Howard and Phil just made the bet to chop his 1k for 500 each and he was the mark. The show ends pretty soon after, but it is OBV that Phil is on "Gordon Tilt" and mutters..."i can't believe i just lost that prop bet..."So...anyone else see this? Comments? He even said he would give each $600, ($100 more each) if they just admit they ran a scam on him.I mean...how can u make a bet that u SAW SOMEONE that u really didn't? I sometimes play the Turbo Hundo on Tilt at 2:00 am my time. PAD is on at 2:05. So I watch PAD until I busto the Hundo...then pass out with PAD on in background. It's funny enough watching Phil Gordon try to interact with people at a poker table(funny EVERY time), but watching his confidence swing from one extreme to the other last night was gold.
