I tried 24 tabling .01/.02 to just try it out
I did the same thing around the stars 1million hand promo (or whatever it was, about a year ago or so), and at the time I had little to no multitabling experience. It lasted about 20 minutes, I had no idea what was going on, but at the end of it all, I had made like $7 or something.Maybe I should go back to that strategy...

He's posted his graph through 5 days, i can't find the link to it atm(it's on the 2+2 thread) but i remember noting his last 50k hands were basically breakeven and he'd gone on a 15 buy in downswing.

One time, ship the 400 buyins to him. One time. Please. Ship.
I wonder what the line would be now on him successfully accomplishing this...

$10,000 = 400 buyins = 400,000 hands at 5 BB/100 winrate = almost 13,000 hands/day.I will book an appointment with a psychiatrist for you on June 23rd.
So basically he has to play 24 tables at once, at 80 hands an hour, for just under 7 hours every day and maintain a winrate of 5 BB/100.LOL. It's do-able. If you're insane.

pullin an all nighter tonight he says, "prime donk hours"did he beer bong red bull lol
Lol he is realizing he is behind...According to his blog (which I looked at yesterday so the numbers arent that fresh) but his poker bankroll was only a little over 30k...I believe that was like a month ago so I am not sure how he has done in the past month. But if he loses this prob bet it seems like it will be a huge hit to his roll...I think pulling all nighters at this point in the competition is a bad idea...There is no reason to burn yourself out so soon...if he isnt already lol...

As a microstakes player, I find it oddly reassuring that he's having trouble at $25NL.
I'd think it would be disheartening to see how many hands you'd have to grind for a profit.

he's on a 52k hand breakeven stretch...is it time to 8 table and really focus?
if he only did 1/3 of the tables he would need to increase his win rate 3 fold.so your saying that he should try and get 12ptbb/100 hands while playing 8 tables for >100k hands instead of the 4ptbb/100 over 24 tables.Plausible

First of all I have to say respect for WCGrider for taking on this challange. It must be a mentally and also physsically extreme tough thing to do and I really hope he will make this and win the bet. That being said. I have seen a couple of things that make me think he mabey didn't put all the effort he could into making a gameplan. He put a lot of effort into making the rules so he couldn't get screwed and he could not screw other people. But what of a game plan towards his play. What if things don't go as well as planned from the beginning. I read he is going to pull all-nighters allready and he is still in his first week.Pro's;He is a beast at creating action. He clearly has the skills and stamina to 24 table $25.- games. He isn't going apeshit about a small variance dip and keeps on grinding like there is no tomorrow.Con's;He needs to know his bet will last for 30 days and therefore he needs to act accordingly. No all nighters because you're behind a bit after 8% of the time has elapsed.(mabey the all nighters in the beginning are not that bad, he still has the stamina. From what I'm reading WCG is chatting and reading forums which can't be good over the long run. On the other hand, if you're multitabling that big you need to switch your focus once in a while to get your act together and be ready for another long grindsession.Good luck to him and I will be following this bet every step of the way. You can almost say I'm nervous for him.Jan

Honestly, I don't think it's variance as much as it is fatigue and maybe the fact that people know what he is doing... It wouldn't suprise me if people are trying to sabotage too... I've played with him many times and he seems to be doing some weird plays in these recent days... Although maybe this has worked in the past I'm pretty sure I see a decent amount missed opportunities to save money and make plays... Hopefully he can run hot in the next few days to keep the morale up. Would be nice to see him get to 10k I admit, but it's not looking good.
