Tapping the glass on the fish of life never gets old…plus it isn’t like this is a real serious argument. Enjoy general!

Meh.... I'll still read the drivel, it's just that too much of anything is never good and I've had enough of all this for the moment.Just wondering if anyone else was getting more than their fill of it, not trying to persuade anyone to stop.Signed, Nauseously stuffed to the gills with political info overload

Yes, I am too. I've been fighting my parents and their friends for weeks every time they forward me some bullshyte email about how "THINK ALL MUSLIMS AREN'T TERRORISTS! THINK AGAIN!!!" or "YOUR TAXES WILL QUINTUPLE IF YOU VOTE BLUE!!!" and "OBAMA A TERRORIST? PASS THIS ON IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR DOG OR YOUR CHILDREN!" etc etc. Every time, it takes me eight seconds on snopes.com to find out the email isn't from some Air Force General or is just complete fabrication. And yet people read, pass on and swallow this crap like its fact. My Dad at least had one good comment: "People seek out what supports their view, and dismisses anything that doesn't." (He actually said "paradigm" instead of "view," but I thought that was teh ghey, so I changed it.)Anyway, I'm done with it. Not worth losing my parents over--even if they and their friends are completely set in their ways, scarily xenophobic and slightly deranged. (i keed! i keed!)

I'm a Republican and a pretty big fan of FoxNews, Sean Hannity, etc., obv. But as of late, even I am getting sick of all the Republican finger pointing and name calling. All of this stuff with Obama's pastor is getting seriously old, but guys like Hannity just continue to harp on it night after night, show after show. I used to love to watch H&C...but lately it's just been annoying listening to Sean re-hash the same ol' crap. Let's just move on with the issues and leave the drama behind. None of this is really getting to me as much as it is to nutz, but enough is enough already...move on to new topics and issues that really matter. If I hear one more thing about Obama's pastor, I'm gonna scream.

Is that why we don't see BG in here anymore? I for one, loved the difference in opinion and he made it sound half way believable.

You'll get along great with majority of us in here. Welcome! Hope you have thick skin. Dublin, CA huh? I grew up in Pleasanton in Valley Trails off of Hopyard. No where near the same place it was when I lived there (left in '93), but still the nutz....if you can afford million dollar townhomes that is. Have you ever been to Vic's All-Star Kitchen on Main Street in Pleasanton?

Pretty sure Balloon was on vacation.
FYPMaui again.Drove to the crater, went to hotel, took a 1 hour nap, flew home at 8 PM landed in LAX at 5AM, home at 8 AM and off to bed in an hour or so.Maui was awesome again, and the real estate prices have fallen 18% since last time we were there in August. Hmmmm.Aloha Plate Lunches, and a really funny show at the Warren and Annabelle Magic Show. Funny stuff, and a lady at the hotel is his neighbor so I sent him a cigar when I found he's a smoker. Plus he comped all the soldiers that had served in Iraq and their wives. Good guy, funny show, I give it a big thumbs up. Unlike Obama. But I got a kick out of the Huffington bloggers that are trying to make the case that McCain wasn't 'really' tortured in Vietnam for 5 and a half years.Politics, not sick of it at all. :club:

lol politics for me lately. I wanna gag every time I turn on the TV. Now Maui, there is something I can get jacked up about. Highly recommend the day cruise to Lanai next time, check out the 4 Seasons and their sick golf course over there (the one at the top of the island, not the one on the beach (yes there are TWO, lol). You'd think you were in Tahoe surrounded by pine trees...it is so bizzare. And Warren and Annabelle was bar none one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. Had no idea what to expect, and thought the Annabelle part was cheesy, really thought we might have made a mistake. I mean, how good can a show be in Maui?Nope. Warren was a friggin riot. Highly recommend.Still can't figure out how he got those bowling balls into that hat? :club:

  • 3 weeks later...

Sick of it in that I made my decision months ago, and nothing is really likely to come out between now and November that will change my mind. Not sick of it in that for the first time in my life, a woman and a black man are battling for the nomination of a major party, and millions of new voters are being inspired to register.Sick of it in that it's a waste of time and money for the campaigning to drag on and on and on. They should either start the season later or have the election about a week after both parties wrap up their conventions (gotta get the balloon business in).Not sick of it in that Democratic turnout in primaries is walloping Republican turnout, sometimes by a factor of five. That makes me very happy, especially if we can turn 'em out again in November.Welcome back, BG -- aloha, darlin'!
