timwakefield 68
Ok so my other thread didn't get any action so I guess nobody's gonna be in AC next week.I booked myself a room at the Hilton (where we stayed last time), but on Friday the room goes from $75 to $275 and on Saturday it is unavailable - as in, they don't rent out rooms on Saturdays because they reserve them for comped guests, etc. So in other words, I'm booked Sunday through Thursday . So where do y'all donks stay in AC on, perhaps, a weekend night?
CaptainQuint88 0
I was just in AC last weekend with some friends and we stayed at the Taj. It is probably a little on the pricey side (at least 200+), but the rooms are nice and the location is pretty convinent. Also they have a bunch of restaurants which is nice. ReraiseAllIn 0
I stay at the Red Carpet Inn off White Horse Pike in Absecon when I make my semi-regular weekend runs. Friday night you can get a room for like 60 bucks after taxes, I think Saturday night is just a little over 100. Nothing special, but the rooms are generally clean and the beds are pretty comfortable. If you are looking for a room to crash for like 6-7 hours of sleep and a shower, then its just the ticket. They are usually pretty lenient about giving you free extended check out (1 or even 2 pm) if you check in in the wee morning hours (4 or 5 am). Otherwise, check out is at noon. Its a straight shot from the Red Carpet to the Borgata down Rt. 30, maybe about 4-5 miles outside of AC, so its fairly convenient.

I don't drive but the taxis are pretty reasonable in AC from what I saw last time ($15 max for anything in the city).

If you are going to be in AC actually during the weekend next week, I may very well be up there playing 2/5 NL at the Borgata. Your original post said you would be there Sunday - Thursday which means I'd already be back home in Maryland.
Jariso13 1
Check out Harrahs. Its right across for the Borgata and is a surprisingly very nice hotel. I stayed there once and was very happy with it.
