Venetian Deep Stack Vs. Wsop

Recommended Posts

i don't think i can, honest. my gf is pretty much retarded when it comes to setting up a new apartment, in terms of bills and utilities and stuff, so i need to be there like all week to help her do it for her. (in her defense, she has to deal with a lot of immigration garbage cuz she's a terrorist)
Does she read these forums?:club:

The cash games are awesome during that time of year! I love it cause there is actually more action than usual at the Venetian. I like the their pokerrom a ton more than Bellagio. Less cramped, cleaner etc... Frankly I think the only reason I play the tournies is for the whole competition factor. I am around a break even tourny player when it comes to outside my local casino(Lucky Chances) So with that being said I guess the WSOp is the way to go if I am in it for the competition aspect. You will definatly find me at the 2-5nl 5-10nl cash during June though.
HEY! Hit me up and I'll meet you for a FCP cash game challenge. I'm right there in Daly City. Also wanted to point out that Caesar's is going with the "Mega Stack" tournaments that are boating bigger chips (10-15k) and longer structures (50 min levels) than other folks for 225-550 buy ins. 1000 three day main event. You might try those.Laughed my ass off about Harrah's pillaging their own tournament action though. However, having FTed a few Caesar's tournies (go 7pm dailies!), I have to say I like their basic structure, room and player selection.Love the Venetian with the F-ing rose powder does not set off my sinuses. Like the carpet fungus at LC.

caesar's is WAY WORSE in terms of structure than either the venetian or wsop. they skip about 10 levels in the 2nd and 3rd hour. unless those megastack things are different, i'd avoid caesar's like the plague.

Venetian structures are good early but absolute horrendous when you get deep (where the $ matters). WSOP structures are horrid early but apparently good deep....I wouldn't know since I never get deep. Plus the WSOP prestige, bigger prize pools etc.

If you can play 5/10NL properly with your BR then you should easily be able to buy in to some $1500's and not sweat it. Two tournies is only 3 buy-in. GLEdit: Oh and I really like the deep stack cuz I won one! Tons of play.

Mega stacks are claiming to have 50 min levels with plenty of play according to the CP Poker Room supervisor I spoker with. 1k final event is even a three day.PDF of the events and details here: http://www.harrahs.com/images/non_image_as...ack_June08_.pdf

I'm going to fly over to Vegas the beginning of June to play, and was wondering for those who know, what type of play to expect? Is it your typical overly loose play you see in lower buy-in tournaments, or is it more talented than that? Same question goes for Ceaser's tournaments.

The V?I haven't played, but I think it'll be a bit higher quality than your normal tourney, and better than the wsop. But even decent tourney players aren't all that great usually.I assume Caesars might be slightly worse, but not a ton. Especially with the mega stack thing going.

Hey thanks alot for the info on the V and Caeser's. B)Not sure if you know, but is there much difference in quality of play between the 300 and 500 buy-in? Reason why I ask is because I'm on a shorter bankroll, and trying to spread out the amount of events I can play.

Funny you said that cause I ft'd a 7pm at ceasars in Jan. lol Total crapshoot at the end though. Looks like most people are siding with the WSOP. I'll probably play both.
