If it's just a summer thing, then I don't see it being particularly close. It's Chicago all the way, just make damn sure you get out of here by winter. You have the beach, downtown, northside bars, Wrigley Field and a whole bunch of scantily clad girls at all of those locations. Also, casinos within reasonable distance.

ah to be young and needing a place to check out and party. I would go with the Canada idea. San Diego is awesome, but really to party in style you need to be 21. Canada is awesome, I visited with my wife on our honeymoon and i'm tellin you I almost wished I had moved there instead of SD when i was 20, because I probably never would have left. But San Diego is a great city with plenty of beaches and casinos a short distance from each other...

lol @ everyone repping their own city as being the best.
We all just want the honour of having these 3 spectacular young men grace our cities with their presence. Especially if shopping trips with Jesse could potentially be involved.

If you guys are looking for cheapish places for the summer, then college towns are your best bet. Tons of people subletting, demand is low, supply is high, prices are low. From what I've heard, a lot of college towns are still pretty cool in the summer.

TJ sucks!!! Mexico in general is just terrible. I went when I was 20 and that was 10 years ago and I vowed to never go back. Now if you want to surf down there ... that is a differetn story, but partying down there is LAME. IMO

We are not really looking into a summer thing. I mostly want to stay at home during the summer in Florida. Possibly now looking into getting a big house so lots of poker players can live in.

Have you thought about Austin, Texas? Rent is super cheap and it's very college-y IIRC.http://austin.craigslist.org/search/apa?qu...&bedrooms=3This is the CL search for a 3BR place in Austin, max rent $2300, with keywords "luxury" and "pool" -- look at your options. Lots of neat stuff there :club:

I think this 'Pokerhaus' idea has been done before :club:

my two cents, which are probably worth less than a penny...i'm 32. a few times i have thought about all of the early 20s poker players with solid incomes from online poker and what they do with their lives. seriously, if i were you, i would pick a beautiful, tropical place with good internet connections and a cheap lifestyle. i would go to costa rica. i've been 3 times and i assure you it is heaven on earth. very clean...you can drink the water anywhere. the people are amazing. the scenery is even better. health care is on a sliding scale, even for foreigners. tell them that you don't have money and they will give you great health care for free. someday i will own some property in the rain forest in costa rica, but for younger guys i would rent a place on the beach somewhere and live the good life for a few years. it's less than 3 hours from san jose to either the caribbean or pacific oceans (go to the pacific - the caribbean has crime problems where the rest of the country is very, very safe). from san jose you can fly to the states in a short amount of time to visit family. i could go on and on and on. ok, that's my two cents...
