I heard they have SNG's there as well.More action than either of the Canadian casinos in the falls (although ive only been to fallsview once) Its a nice room, 1-2NL, 2-5NL, 2/4,3/6 limit, 3/6O8 games are running round the clock. theres usually a few bigger NL games goin on (5/10+) as well. They run SNG's usually as sattelites to something else, but the structures are super fast.
checkymcfold 0
i've played there a couple times, definitely better than the canadian casinos for most games--better selection, more action, etc.it'll probably be my regular haunt when i move to buffalo (no, this was not a conscious choice--i'm tagging along with my girlfriend) at the end of the summer. My fiancee is from there and keeps suggesting we move there, but the job market looks sketchy...well, i play full time so that's not really an issue for me, and she's going to teacher's college at canisius, which isn't really a "job," per se. so yeah, i agree re: the market, lol.however, we did manage to find a place in one of the 3 areas where you won't get shot that's twice the size and half the price of my apt in chicago, which is a good thing, i guess. 7s7c 0
I think I played there last New Years when I was around for the Winter Classic hockey game. If I recall the biggest game they spread that night was 2/5NL and it was probably the loosest game I've ever been in.

Thats no exaggeration.Game selection def goes to Seneca tho.

If not, I may try to get to a game in the 3rd round, although I'll be retared busy between now and the end of the playoffs.

riddeld 0
If you think the action is better at Seneca than Fallsview.... I don't know what to tell you.I played Fallsview for a year and a half. The action is so variable. Friday/Saturday night yea the action is the best you can find anywhere, but during the week, you sit down and know every single player at the table, most of the daytime players being very tight action. I've been playing seneca for the last 2-3 months, and it is WAY better. The dealer's don't make mistakes every hand. The floor knows how to run a room, it is much better overall. At fallsview now they dont allow cash on the tables, the dealer buys everything. They keep 15000 in their trays and within the session there is always over 2000 in cash. They have to fan it out for the floor, break down all the chips when they come back, its disgusting. The last time I played there I counted hands for the 9 hours I was there. With the dealers fanning the money and counting the tray at the beginning of every session, and also when they need a fill, combined with the incompetant dealers, the average number of hands per session was 9! When paying 6 dollars every half hour, to get 9 hands, the action can't possibly be good enough. Seneca is a well run room, and I will continue to play there as long as I live in Niagara Falls. They cancelled running all satellites and its not happening. I was told originally that it was because of how bad fallsview is at running poker (which is entirely believable), but was then informed that it has to do with the loss of the TV contract. I was told originally that it was because of how bad fallsview is at running poker (which is entirely believable), but was then informed that it has to do with the loss of the TV contract.1. The WPT event in October is NOT cancelled at this time.2. Fallsview has suspended running satellites for the 2008 NAPC (not cancelled).3. "Originally told" by who??4. Fallsview has been noted as one of the best run tournaments on the WPT (searching for the CardPlayer link now). ** I know there is another, better one but how about this from DN himself: **"Going into the event, I was just hoping that it would be run well and would do Canada proud. Well, the event exceeded my expectations in every way. The floor staff and dealers were some of the best we've seen at any WPT stop. The facility was fantastic, and the casino itself was beautiful." http://www.cardplayer.com/magazine/article/163755. The issue lies with the WPT and the contract they have signed with Fallsview that requires the WPT to have a deal to air the recorded event. Without the exposure gained from telelvision coverage, Fallsview has little (if anything) to gain from hosting the tournament.
