CBass1724 1
If I knew the dude or if the dude was a known player (and wasn't being an asshole) I'd let him come back.If he's some random dude I've never seen, I'd blind him out as fast as I can, especially if he was an as.sQuoted For Emphasis
Suited_Up 2
Hmm... I hate to be one of those internet police douches, but...I only bring this up because the couple of times it's happened to me since then, I've always said to myself, "Ray says I should push". Now I'm all confused!Ray, you must be getting nicer as you get older!^^ also, a well concealed brag post about making a ft in 2006.Oh that's good stuff!
Sheiky 0
Pop quiz, hotshot. There's a bomb on a bus. Once the bus goes 50 miles an hour, the bomb is armed. If it drops below 50, it blows up. What do you do? What do you do?Whatever you do, don't attempt to make a sequel.
AimHigher 0
Ok, So I was just heads up in one of the Big Double tourneys on FTP... the guy had me 2-1... and was kinda a dick saying things like "next time you shove I call" etc etc.. He disconnects with 2-1 chip lead.. what do I do??? His disconnect timer went down after like a minute.. am I supposed to wait for him?? What if he wont be back for hours and I have things I could be doing( video games, youporn, etc) I guess i'm not sure what the proper ettiquette is for this because its never happened to me heads up in a tourney before.Laugh at my good fortune, marvel at karma, type some choice words in the chat and then blind him out. TrueAce13 18
I was wondering when you were going to make another FT...it has only been, what, 3 days. lolbut yeah seriously, how many people would sit out if it was you who got disconnected? I would only wait a minute. Minraise every time, and start counting my money.Don't we have a FT thread dedicated just to you? And it was once said already, he probably did it just so he didn't have to get embarrassed facing you HU
I_fold08 1
i dont see why this is a big deal its not like the guy is getting zero for second and even then theres no question that you should blind him off
Poker Addict 0
It's not a big deal. But any competitive player would rather win against a participating player. I think that's what made TJ feel bad in the first place. It just feels gross winning that way. However, there really is no choice.

TB17 0
If this guy was an ******* then I'd definitely minraise every hand. If it was someone I knew or maybe a player that I had respect for his game and probably wait a little while. If it was Checky I would raise as fast I can every hand.lol @ checky ever being HU in a tourney.

He had about a 2:1 chip lead. He did not return from break on time, and I boke my mouse stealing from him as fast as I could. By the time he came back, I had a 2:1 lead. Merby 3
Pretty classless of you to not wait a reasonable amount of time.I would wait... the length of his disconnect timer ... Then I would eat me some blinds topped with grilled onions and a side of fires.*aside* mmmm.... grilled onion blinds... *drools*

Jupiter 0
The point is that in playing online poker, you can be expect to be blinded off if you disconnect; it's one of the parameters of the game we are playing. You don't have a problem looking at yourself in the mirror when you bluff someone off of a better hand, because that kind of "taking advantage" is part of the game. The argument here is that being blinded off if you disconnect is part of the game.edit: yay 2000 posts!Totally agree. When I disconnect, I expect to get blinded off. I get extremely upset, but by my connection, not by the player.I play for small $, but I don't think I'd change my mind if it was for more. When my opponent disconects, I steal every time. freak2304 0
Some people are going to say this is a different situation, but I post this to ponder: Let's say you're down to 21 left in a 180 man (for this example) where 18 pays. Somebody at your table who's 18th in chips disconnects. Does the entire table sit out/folds around until he returns? And why is that? Like I said...obv. slightly different situation, but the reasonings, for the most part, are the same.

Like I said...obv. slightly different situation, but the reasonings, for the most part, are the same.No. This is collusion. No one on your table would bust while everyone on the other two tables would be at risk of busting. It might be different if you were down to say 10 players on one table and 9 paid, as far as the collusion goes. But in that situation, I still say tough luck.

Loismustdie 0
Now this is honest.I pretty much go with this one too. Ditto. I have done this a few times and will do it again without a thought. Once you start getting into the 2 minute, 5 minute, 10 minute thing you're just kidding yourself. Take the money. That's what we do. Or, that's what some of us do- I stink at this game.
