BigDMcGee 3,353
Thank you for hopping aboard the Russell Crowe hate band wagon. I haven't liked him in pretty much anything I've ever seen him in, starting with LA Confidential ( A movie that I really like). Most overrated actor ever.
Iphonenkinder 558
Thank you for hopping aboard the Russell Crowe hate band wagon. I haven't liked him in pretty much anything I've ever seen him in, starting with LA Confidential ( A movie that I really like). Most overrated actor ever. I liked him in the Insider, but I hated Beautiful Mind so much, even thinking about it today makes me angry. I find his image repellant. I don't want to see his face online, or see if he's charming on a talks how. Even the Broken City trailer starts with his voice over, and I got impatient with that.
brvheart 1,755
I think The Insider is a fantastic movie. Too many people haven't seen it. Michael Mann also has a free lifetime pass from me.
brvheart 1,755
i'm a little pissed you didn't like my braveheart quote, brv, i'm going to be honest. Sorry buddy. You hate Mel so much, that I just assumed you were making fun of me somehow.
BigDMcGee 3,353
lol Fair enough, but it's not often I get to seamlessly quote Braveheart to brvheart in perfect context.
frautotenkinder 1,025
Django Unchained I liked it, didn't love it. Somehow, I never felt fully engaged by it. The violence didn't bother me. I really liked how QT handled all of the stars. There's one scene that features Christoph Walz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, and Sam Jackson. There's a lot of hamminess danger there, but everyone was their charismatic best.
Whiskers 680
3:10 to Yuma I saw Django. I thought it was the tits. I think I'd probably put it just below Basterds. Probably. Could change after another viewing or two. Foxx, Leo, and Walz are all so very great. I didn't care for Sam all that much.
BigDMcGee 3,353
The insider is great I agree.
Governator 54
Original Cars Movie... for whatever reason my kid had Cars 2 but not the 1st. Cars 1 is so much better.

Whiskers 680
His old guy make-up was distracting. And I thought he fully stepped into the hamminess danger zone that Frau was talking about.
SuperJon 175
Do people actually consider El Jackson to be a great actor?
Whiskers 680
I wouldn't say he's great and certainly not on the level of the others in this movie, but he can be good. He's in about a million movies though, so he does have some stinkers on his imdb page.

Iphonenkinder 558
Do people actually consider El Jackson to be a great actor? He's charismatic as hell, and literally attractive on screen. When he's onscreen, I want to watch him, I am attracted and attentive.

loogie 115
That quote is actually from Roeper. Ebert's still too sickly to be reviewing anything, except Zero Dark Thirty it seems. ACTUALLY, Ebert reviewed more films last year than he ever has.
