Dubey 1,035
Saw The Campaign. Probably had more laugh out loud moments than I expected, but felt really long despite it's 85 minute run time, and really dragged after the first 40 minutes or so.Trailers were great though. I'm super excited for 'This is 40', and Argo. There was also a baseball movie with Clint eastwood, Justin Timberlake and Amy Adams that looked decent enough.
DJ Vu 176
I'm super excited for 'This is 40', and Argo.Yeah, those both look good. Although I think I might be more excited about Argo simply because it's Ben Affleck directing, which just feels like a weird thing. I mean, he's made two good movies already, but still, you know?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxkNuHrS6cg
Theraflu 1,035
God damn, Argo looks great. The baseball movie does not look great.
brvheart 1,754
Yeah, those both look good. Although I think I might be more excited about Argo simply because it's Ben Affleck directing, which just feels like a weird thing. I mean, he's made two good movies already, but still, you know? He's no Mel Gibson, but I already trust him, and I'm expecting him to be good long-term.ps. I think Argo looks way way way better than This is 40. Judd Apatow's wife has always annoyed me. Ever since she was in Big Daddy.
JubilantLankyLad 1,957
watched Wanderlust last night. it had several roflmao moments. i now hate justin theroux for not letting me see jennifer anniston's tits. it would have been great if Malin Akerman had shown hers as a replacement but she just teased instead. despite all the non-tits (that I wanted to see, there were plenty of others. cocknballs too) i thought it was better than expected. the twist that they were in the beltway the whole time is a real game changer. ajs510 122
Well, Kathleen Robertson is doing topless scenes left and right these days to keep paying the rent, that oughta make you a little happy at least.
frautotenkinder 1,025
ParaNormanIt's good, and has a nice bit at the end that made me a little weepy.Regarding Argo--when did everyone decide a blue filter meant we're watching events from the 1970's?

SuperJon 175
Finally saw DKR. A little disappointed though, and surprised to see I was the only one in the theater wearing a trench coat.
frautotenkinder 1,025
Suitable for a 5yr old?It might be too scary. There are themes of bullying, child death--super spoiler--at the hands of adults, and the general powerlessness of being a child. I don't know how much your kid pays attention to the movies he or she is watching...
Dubey 1,035
The Killer inside me Casey Affleck mumbles a lot. Other characters mumble in return. Lots of weird sex scenes. Casy murders literally every character in the entire movie. We aren't really sure why The best thing about this movie is you get to see 95% of Jessica Alba's left boob in one scene. The second best thing about this movie is the dialogue; I could only understand half of what was said, so unlike the rest of the movie, I cannot confirm that it sucked. Mercury69 3
Twilight Eclipse (my gf watched it and I was playing poker same room) > ****ing awful piece of turdSmall Town Murder Songs > Not bad; kind of slow; Peter Stormare reminded me of Robert Duvall's character in Falling DownThe Guard > Very funny movie; occasionally silly

ajs510 122
Oh Hell Yes. Have you watched Boss? No, I got rid of Starz last year so I haven't seen it. The interwebz keep me well "abreast" of her activities on there though.
JubilantLankyLad 1,957
Even without the gratuitous nudity, it's worth watching.
king_tanner 84
re-watched Angels and Demons. This movie would have been great if not for Ewan McGregor. He was horrible. His bad acting made his role predictable.I wish they would make a movie out of Deception Point (another Dan Brown book), but Nic Cage has to be the star though. There is no other way. Basically every single thing that happens in the book is unrealistic and Cage would make it the best movie in the history of cinema.

She was wearing clothes and they CGI'd her naked.EDIT: Actually they CGI'd her naked in Machette, and used a body double in The Killer Inside Me. My bad.

I_fold08 1
Awesome read about White Men Can't Jump from Grantland. A little long, but definitely worth it. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8266665/an-oral-history-ron-shelton-basketball-comedy-white-men-jumpFavorite part has to be Rosie talking about her nude scene. Mercury69 3
Hunger Games - Pretty good; too long; the fashion designers should be taken out back and shot; Jennifer Lawrence completely sells it and is pretty great (see Winter's Bone)The Bang Bang Club - Thin plot about an interesting subject, based on fact; easy acting job for these guys, as they are pretty much one-dimensional; not bad
DJ Vu 176
I was reading Roger Ebert's review of David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis and at the end of it he mentions several Cronenberg movies that he likes. One of them is Crash. Not the horrible Oscar winning Crash, but the NC-17 one about people who get off on car crashes. I click the link to read his review of Crash and it takes me to the horrible Crash review. Haha, I think, that would be funny if one of the movies he uses as an example of a movie that works is the horrible Crash. But wait, holy shit, he gave the horrible Crash 4 stars! What in the world? Ebert...why???
