I seriously haven't had a hand interesting enough to post in, like, forever.I do know I've been having trouble beating T554 when it caps PF in LO8 though. It's been a serious leak in my game all week.
the way to beat lo8 imo is to play 8 tables and just try to break even. then you collect rakeback or fpps. that game is a weird abusive relationship with me. i do not beat it but every so often i just have to go back to it and try. i actually managed to lose $700 in about 2k hands at 2/4 once. considering that i actually tried very hard to play well and i'm not a complete poker idiot i think this quite an accomplishment.

but i can't fold the river either, can i?so since its an all in i just bet. he can maybe fold sometimes and call sometimes where i scoop him, both of which are great. we are usually splitting here and sometimes he will have a477. his raise preflop isnt the dumbest thing in the world, but (and this is a huge mistake that a lot of regs make at this limit although he isn't a reg) he fails to take into account who he is playing against. i do not call preflop raises and then check/fold missed flops. i call preflop raises and then minbet without looking at the flop into you and laugh while you sweat.in retrospect the whole hand is a very good way to toss my whole stack in on a very small edge. but, you got my number. thats how i play and i've made it work for me. how many river cards do i totally stack his ass on? high spades, a nine, a queen, and a ten. how often do you think he scoops me here? i would guess around 15% of the time. im cool with that. if you give him a range i wiped the floor with him on this hand.
I see and agree with your points. As far as the bolded. I'll make sure to avoid sitting at your table you big mean bully! :club:

lol. i always do things like that. i make a big bet on the river and type "you can keep the nickel". or i make a wierd bet like 7.65 into a $40 pot and type "this week only on sale". there is no pattern or rhyme or reason to this, i do it randomly to amuse myself. but i sure do hope that somebody tries to find one in it.

turn that into a two high card flop where you have a backdoor low to the A5 low and i like this better. your equity is actually usually quite bad here. the only hand you really would like to see is a set with no low going for them and then you are flipping. if he has a naked A2 and is willing to play with you for stacks you're a dog here. i mean no doubt you got the right idea here. i just think in this particular spot you aren't thinking enough about his range. this all of course assumes you didn't have some read that made you decide to play it this way. if the guy will get it in here with T349 and regularly does so well then ldo :club:

i love your check on the turn here. you are beat here like always and he's never folding. also, i don't think it flips your hand over as much as it might seem. i've seen a lot of players who will double barrel here thinking that the guy will call one street with 2 pair (or aces or something) but not two here and i think its a mistake. nh.

i find it fascinating how close loose aggressive maniac players are to playing perfectly if only they exercised a little self control. that hand is actually a good example of how i tilt. i will of course usually have something a little stronger there, but i make bad call downs in spots where i have easy folds.

The villain and I have been c-betting like 90% of flops when raised pre-flop. I have been stealing pots away from him prob 75% of the time when he does this when he's oop. He bets the flop I raise he folds. In this spot I really didn't mind calling as a slight dog just for the fact I didn't want him to start three betting me light and continue with his folding pattern. bought in for $40, got up to like $180, lost it all. Bought in for another $40 and lost that too. Insisted that i am a prop and thats why i raise so often and keep having good hands. She was also very upset when people sucked out on her like the time she lost $90 to somebody with the queen high flush no low on a flushed paired low board when they had the nut flush and a low. I would like to know what is going through this person's head. I understand straight up gambling, but then why get so upset about other people's play? It's like they know there is some sort of strategy involved, do they honestly think they are playing well? Does she really believe her claims that I work for PS and thats why I play the way I do (whatever sense that makes)? I can't recall the last time I saw an out and out maniac on FTP. I think I'm going to like stars.
