Thats what she said!
Not only were you 2nd, but also far less funny.Making fun of Jamie always trumps a "TWSS" joke.Plus it just doesn't fit well enough in this case. But I respect the effort. :club:

Well I don't know Jamie so I am not fully aware of the greatness that a joke about this person and I was second because i was caught up in the putter research...had I seen it was going to be second I would have let it be. Sadly I continue to suck at life. Oh well. In my house a TWSS joke trumps all others even when it doesn't really make sense. I thank you for your respect. *tip-o-the-cap*

Paging Potsie! Oh where art thou?We are HUNGRY! :club:
Haha...OK here's the scoop, gang.I heard back from MC re: dinner and it's pretty much what I understood. We must agree on one menu, although folks can decide (within that menu) what they want once they get there. Given this, I propose we opt for the $75 one. This gives our group the most selections and includes the Dover Sole as the seafood (as opposed to the Salmon, which had no takers). This also bumps the steak from a 10oz Filet to a 14oz NY Strip. Here's the full options on the $75 Menu:SOUP--Choice of Lobster Bisque (w/ Warm Bacon Goat Cheese Sandwich) or Classic Onion Soup (with Gruyere Cheese Gratin, Sourdough Croutons)CAESAR SALAD--w/ Garlic Cheese Croutons and Black Pepper Caesar DressingENTREE--Choice of Dover Sole (w/ Steamed Vegetables), Chicken (w/ Wild Mushroom Ragout) or 14oz. Bone-In NY Strip (w/ Signature Sauces)SIDES--Mac-n-Cheese and Creamed SpinachDESSERT--Chef's Nightly Selection (TBD)Note: a standard 18% gratuity will be added, plus 7.75% tax, so each guy will be looking at ~$95 total (excluding drinks). FWIW, this menu ordered ala carte would run each person up to $115 with tax and tip on their own, so it's good from that standpoint, plus obv we all get the huge benefits of our own reserved space and being served at the same time.So...IF we want to pursue this, we need the group to OK this menu and then get some form of payment up front (at least $50 each) to Copernicus and/or Mark (both of whom have graciously agreed to handle this for us) in order to secure the reservation as soon as possible (no later than 5/23).Post if you're down for this and I'll look to Copernicus and Mark to remind us how to get payment to them so we can secure our reservation. Nutz and I think this is a great way to go for our large group and hope you'll agree. If not, no worries and hopefully we'll still see you at MC Poker Room at 9pm for the poker tourney. Thanks and looking forward to it!-Pots

I'm considering attending the dinner. Thanks to everyone who's putting this together. The side dishes seem a bit lacking for someone who doesn't like a lot of creamy stuff. Maybe try and get another choice or two thrown in there, but other than that, it looks good imo.Actually, sign me up for dinner (tentative) +1 please.

I think that dinner should make everyone at least somewhat happy. I'm sure Potsie is tired of talking to them and I am sure they are tired of dealing with him. I say we go with this, people can decide if they want to attend or not and we start sending our money to Mark or Copernicus.

Thanks again Pots!A couple key points....This may not be the BE ALL, END ALL dream meal that people can get in Vegas, but it's still a pretty decent dinner IMO.And this time around, it's mostly about being together to shoot the shit about the day on the links and talk smack about the pending tourney. There is always plenty of time either prior to this night, or after this night, to get get your fantasy dinner. If some folks don't think it's good, or a good value, or whatever, That's fine too. Everyone has their reasons. No harm no foul. Just do whatever you're going to do and show up later for the tourney and a few drinks. It's all good. That said, please let us know if you definitely plan on doing the MC dinner. Payments will need to be done in advance and copernicuc and/or NoSup4U can handle the payments. It's going to be an awesome day and night either way.I'll start another official dinner list on the front page starting right now. Everyone please post (even if you have already) if you are in for dinner.INScott

Why didn't you give us this choice before??? lol. This menu is better in every way. (Though I agree with Acid... a potato would be nice as a side.)I still think their policy is asinine and if it were me doing the planning I'd probably be looking elsewhere, but whatever. This is much better, so we're in. Just let me know how much to pay and where to send. (For 2)
