quadaces 0
Another hand from last night!2h2d in the BB. Action gets capped before it gets to me and I call. With only UTG foldingFlop comes 6hJh3c, SB checks, I check, seat 4 bets 3 calls, SB folds, I call.Turn 2s, I check seat 4 bets 1 call, I callRiver Ah, I check, seat 4 bets, other guy folds, I raise, seat 4 fold.I was planning on betting the turn if the 2 came, but when it did, I check/called and dont really know why I changed my mind. when I called the turn I was planning on check/calling the river if a heart got there and when it did, I checked and when the action got back to me I just thought fu.ck it this guy does not have the flush and just auto raised and he auto mucked. Question; any point that I should have folded? Should I have played it any different? Comments?
Metternich 0
fold preflop. c/f the flop.raise the turn 100% of the time, not doing it is terrible.
OhKeePa 0
it seems that you like to check when you make your hand...stop trying to be so cute with everything
quadaces 0
not being cute at all. I actually dont like checking when I have any type of hand. Just on this hand for some reason I checked the turn even though I was planning the entire time before the card came to bet if I hit. For some reason, when it did come I felt like I needed to check, if I was trying to be cute I would have c/r the turn. I am usually a very straight forward player, if I have a hand I bet, if Im drawing, I check, if I feel Im behind, I fold. Really its that simple probably 95% of the time. This just happend to be that 5%. Thats why I was posting it, cause Im not sure I played any of it right and it was totally against my style.
KoRnholio 2
25:1 odds on the flop I will call to take a card off. But when you do that you HAVE to start shoveling money in when you hit that miracle card.
Shark527 0
I would not fold preflop either, you are just getting way too good a odds. Unless I was a little short stacked I would fold preflop. I would fold flop though. This is the exact same situation as your JJ hand from earlier. A flop bet and 3 callers to it, why possiblly even think about calling with lowest possible pair?I think you have to lead the turn though when you hit. With action as loose as it is, a 45 could have made a straight but I definitely see your thinking by checking hoping someone would bet for you so you can reraise (which you really should have done by playing it that way). I think a better way of playing it could be to lead the turn and hope to get raised so you can 3bet. I think you would make more money in the hand with this play and also if you are behind they would most likely cap the turn so you can c/c a non pair river.
navybuttons 15
c/r the turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???!!!!!!!!(add another 100 exclamation points) i'm fine up until there. the river c/r is stupid as played.
antistuff 0
you need to rev it up on this turn.edit: there is no where you can fold in this hand.
RISEorFall 0
fold preflop. c/f the flop.do you see the odds we're getting? on a 9 handed table that's almost 10-1 preflop, and if we dont get paid off its because we didnt RAISE THE TURN!!
RabidTortuga 0
Get as may bets in on the turn as possible. Either lead or checkraise, but do something to get money in here.
DKE_XP120 0
For those not sure about the flop call, this could clear up the messy hand posting: Flop comes 6hJh3c, SB checks, I check, seat 4 bets 3 calls, SB folds, I call.According to this, 6 people saw the flop, and preflop it was capped before it got to him, below are the min and max odds that he is getting preflop based on that:Sb, Hero (BB), Call, Call, Raise, Raise, Small Blind caps, Hero(BB) calls, call, call, callBets in pot: 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 9.5, 13.5, Hero calls getting 4.5:1 (16.5sb now), 20, 23, 26Sb, Hero (BB), Raise, Raise, Cap, Call, Small Blind calls, Hero(BB) calls, Call, CallBets in pot: 1.5, 3.5, 6.5, 10.5, 14.5, 18, Hero Calls getting 9:1 (21 sb now), 24, 26 He's getting somewhere between 4.5-9:1 to call, so even if it was the minimum, it still wasn't the most horrible play in the world, check/calling the turn however, was. I actually dont like checking when I have any type of hand. Just on this hand for some reason I checked the turn even though I was planning the entire time before the card came to bet if I hit. For some reason, when it did come I felt like I needed to check, if I was trying to be cute I would have c/r the turn. There is absolutely no point in the world of check/calling unless you just aren't trying to win money. What is the rationale for that play? I'd rather see players be cute than dumb
