eYank 0
They played a reunion show at Madion Square Garden a month or so ago. Clapton as always was superb...My dad was there, he said it was great. Rolling Stone seamed to agree. I wish I was home for it

sandwedge 30
Probably none of you guys are into country music ...My 2nd choice...Willie Nelson's harmonica player once said in an interview that in the early days, Willie would sometimes continue playing as long as there were fans still into it. The quote was something like, "the sun would be rising, and we'd be on our 10th playing of Whiskey River, and there'd be people waking up in the mud..."

finztotheleft 0
If I said any of these singularly, I'd just be sad that I missed the others when I had the chance, so I have to go with the whole list:Pink Floyd performing The Wall - 1980Led Zeppelin at Madison Square Garden - 1973The singing of the National Anthem, prior to the USA - USSR semifinal game at the 1980 Winter Olympics (assuming that I'd get to stay for the game as well)The Concert for NYC - 2001Dropkick Murphys - St. Patricks Day Weekend 2003the boxerThe Beatles atop The Apple Building - 1969Audioslave in Havana, Cuba - 2005I like your taste in music !DKM was awesome this St Patty's Day......they had Mickey Ward (the boxer who inspired the Warriors Code) come up on stage with them in Lowell. It was pretty cool. No, I believe the one at Shea was their last major concert. Definitely a later one (not very late, but just at the point where they could no longer really perform live due to the maniacal audience and the fact that they were using a lot of orchestration and effects). My mom was there. She said it was hard to hear the music over the screaming (not hers).Shea was 1965I'm more of an early Beatles fan than their later stuff. Kind of cracks me up that my 13 year old who plays guitar is a huge Beatles fan now. Just for a lark, I'm taking him to see Ringo in concert for his birthday this summer.dropkick murphys in Boston on St Patricks dayHey ! I'm coming too !Last year, they also played near Boston for the Irish Festival.......I hope they do it this year too. Seeing them play outside.....with Guiness and Harp on tap is fun !i gots to do it next yr!YOU'RE COMIN WITH!!

Vick12 0
Solid topic...If I could attend any concert in history then OBV Woodstock. Though a close 2nd would have to be the time Clapton 1st heard Hendrix play live at some bar...that woulda been sik.My personal fave's in concert are Aerogods and RHCP. Both groups are always 50000 times better live than they are on cd etc. In my experience MANY groups suck live but those 2 never fail to deliver a great show. I was a HUGE G-n-R fan in HS etc., but tbh their shows were RARELY good. Axl spent usually 1/2 the show either off stage or getting a drink for his ailing throat. I would always go see them live....but they rarely delivered the goods. I woulda like to have seen them when they were still young and hungry like before Appetite came out. There are 2 other concerts that stick out from my youth.1. Bon Jovi- Like freshman year or 8th grade...1st time I got around 2nd base!!!!2. NKOTB- 7th or 8th Grade...What is NKOTB....ummm....New Kids On The Block....LOL!!! Now before u go....WHAT!!!...Remember...I was in Jr. High...I got dragggggged to the concert w/ a girl who I was very interested in. What i didn't anticipate? The 500 to 1 ratio of girls to guys...it was like Jr. High paradise!!! It also helped me big time w/ this girl because all these horny pre-pubescent teeny boppers were all whistleing etc. etc. at me and it got her to think I was cuter or something!!!!Aaaaah to be young and dumb again!!! rivergirl 2
I could have seen him 2 years ago @ the Garden with his 12 straight sold out shows, but I didnt really listen to him back then, (I didnt really listen to anything but th top 40 radio station until my friends got me into classic rock) and thats how I got into Zep/Beatles/Joel etc. and I wont be home this summer when hes @ Shea so Im hoping to eventually see him. Id also just like to see a McCartney concert, he seems like his concerts would be fun. Although theres only a few songs I like by them I think The Who would be great. They look like they have a great time on stage and put on a real show.McCartney was awesome live. Even better than i thought it would be. I'd also love to see billy joel, although i would assume he'd be much like elton john in concert. Although the EJ show was great, it was really a sit down kinda show.i would've really liked to see Van Halen in their prime, with DLR, although Hagar was pretty awesome IMO. And i got to see Eddie.Rush was by far my fav concert ever. Although i saw them in Detroit last time, i'd love to see them in Toronto next time.I still really really wanna see the Stones
Dice_3008 1
Been going to concerts since '73. I used to keep all the stubs in several scrap books, but lost many of them over the years.I found this old one last night that had 2 of my all time favorite shows/stubs. The Who in 1980 Toronto and Led Zeppelin in 1977 in Detroit (Pontiac). To this day, the most amazing shows ever for me.I would liked to have seen Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank and/or the Rat Pack in Vegas in their prime. So jealous of you. Zep is far and away my favorite band. My brother-in-law saw them in MN during that same tour of your ticket. He also still has his ticket stub. With that being said my one concert to attend would be Royal Albert Hall - January 9, 1970

BigDMcGee 3,354
yep you're rightThose would be fun to go to, as like witnessing an historical event. As long as I'm magicing back in history, I'll make myself 20, so I can drop all the acid and fck some classic hippy skanks. These days, I don't think I'd be drinking the Kool aid. powerpoker 0
Im mad i still never got to see 2pac, BIG, or Wu Tang perform.I did see Run DMC live at the Family Values Tour in Philly. It was supposed to be DMX but he was locked up (no surprise) so Run DMC and Mobb Deep replaced him. Both rocked, yet i seemed to be the only one who knew who Mobb Deep was at the time. Run DMC came out and everyone went nuts. Def one of the best times of my concert going days. Then fuel came on and i sat down, while everyone else had a good time.
